Maybe it is one of these:

*Even the smallest person can change the fate of the world.

*Between the mind and hands the heart must mediate.

    *I mustn't run away!

*Now I know why you cry, allthough it is something i cannot do.

*Blessed is the righteous man, for he is surely his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children.

    *Don't call me Shirley.

*"More human than human" is our motto.

*Somewhere in the universe there has to be something better than man.

*It's the survival of the human race. Something you don't give a $#!^ about.

*The only winners are the peasants.

*You want to get out of here? You talk to me.

*This old system of yours could be on fire and I couldn't turn on a kitchen tap without filling out a 27B/6.

    *They're taking over! You're next!

*Take a stress pill and think things over.

*It's like... the birth of the universe.

*Naked force has resolved more issues throughout history than any other factor.

*It's in your nature to destroy yourselves.

*The movie never changes. It can't change. But every time you see it, it seems to be different, because you're different.

*If i am not me, den who da hell am I?

*Mr President, I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But i do say no more than 10 to 20 million killed, tops.

*You're standing on the shoulders of giants.

    The moral is:

If you are ever going to make a movie but need a script and screenplay, NEVER EVER use George Lucas and Jonathan Hales, Because in the end your the one who gets ***** over while GL and JH laughs at you and your movie with their crappy dialogue. You become a struggling director who never gets a job again and they just start writing the next multimillion dollar piece of **** :D

These are all great ideas/theories. I think one message he is sending is, things happen. Anakin shows he can't deal with things happening in his life. He can't "Let go." George has said that Anakin's inability to Let go of things in his life is his ultimate undoing. Things happen in life and it is how we deal with that situation that carries us on to the next. People come and go, we lose things that are valuble to us. But when this happens most people pick up the pieces and move on. Anakin does not deal with this too well. He does not want to let go of anything dear to him.

I think the over all message from the Jedi is very simple, Acceptance.

What ever your circumstances you must try and do what you can to help.

Yoda is the perfect example of this and of the Jedi themselves.

I think the overall message of the Saga is also simple, Faith.

It is Luke's faith that saves the day.

    Faith in his friends.

    Faith in his father.

George Lucas points out the moral story in the Episode II Scrapbook. He shows us what actions can make us evil, what can change us. I think we need to overcome the evil within us and remain.....good and sane.
I will get his exact quote later!!!

If I could boil the meaning of Star Wars into one sentence it would be this.

Love is the strongest "Force" of all.

    It has one?

Well maybe it's always get your father to fight your battles for you, that way you won't have to die killing off your greatest enemy.

    Or possibly

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing their's then you are probably Luke or Yoda.

Moral : Let the wookie win.

It has many "moral" but the one thing it seems to be saying; Our choices make us who we are-if we let emotions run our desicion making process. then we may do the wrong actions.

It also says that the Actions of the younger generation can redeem the actions of the older generation.

If betraying and murdering your friends doesn?t make you a hero at first, continue to betray and murder your friends until you get it right.

    That Anakin, he's such a card! [face_mischief]

Maybe it doesn't have a moral, and is just an awesome story.
There are some underlying messages that are never overstressed- - all of the above, certainly. the Jedi are obviously a big one. Live in peace, etc. another is that there's good in everybody, even the emperor. And most of all, the force "Love is the stronget Force of all" is everything. Nothing happens without a purpose.

Its pretty obvious, to me anyway, that the main moral George Lucas is trying to get across with the saga is that if you're compassionate, and help others, you will live a happy life, but if you're greedy it will eventually be your undoing (the darkside.)

The moral lies in family and friends. Notice how the last shot of RotJ is a family shot. This is what bringing balance to the Force is. Luke is the only person in the films to have a balanced lifestyle in the end. He has his faith and beliefs but he also has emotion and family. The moral is that you don't have to be a Jedi or a kick ass starpilot to be a hero. You have to be loyal to those you love.

FYI, George Lucas is a family man.
