A place to discuss Diane Duane's Young Wizards series:

Is Kit/Nita one of your OTPs?

Does Dairine get on your nerves?

Did Wizards at War make you think of the Joiner King?

Do you even know what I'm talking about?:p

    1. I don't believe in the OTP in general, but yeah, I like them.

    2. Not really. She's a Star Wars fan, and that counts for a lot.

    3. Haven't read either yet.

    4. Yes.

However, one thing I don't like is fanfiction crossovers of Young Wizards with Harry Potter. It's like... bleh... [sarcasm]how original[/sarcasm].

I heard of this series from someone at school, and now I'm really interested. Does anyone have a list (in order) of the books?

*squeals* I ;ove this series. This is the only teen stuff I've ever read and...whee!

Anyways, a list, in order is: So You Want to be a Wizard, Deep Wizardry, High Wizardry, A Wizard Abroad, A Wizard's Dilema, A Wizard's Holiday, and the newest one is Wizards at War unless she published another book under my nose. Also, there's two other books that take place in the same world but don't deal with these characters and are The Book of Night With Moon and To Visit the Queen. *checks list* I also think there's a book called A Wizard Alone in there somewhere but I'm not sure if I'm making that up or where it goes if it's real.

    On to the quesitons!

Is Kit/Nita one of your OTPs?

Um... not necessarily, though I'm not so sure Ronan would be the right one for her too.

Does Dairine get on your nerves?

Not really, especially once Duane turned down the "all powerful" element to her. Dairine's character just makes sense given the context it's in.

Did Wizards at War make you think of the Joiner King?

I can see how it would, but not really.

Do you even know what I'm talking about?

[face_grins] Given that I've just given a list of every single book in order including two others and have answered the questions, I think I do.

Is Kit/Nita one of your OTPs?
I don't really care if they get together or not.

Does Dairine get on your nerves?

Nah, she's a Star Wars fan, so she's alright in my book.

Did Wizards at War make you think of the Joiner King?

No: The Joiner King was horrible; Wizards At War: not so much.

Do you even know what I'm talking about

    Yep. :p

I used to love this series!! Kinda lost track of it waiting for the newest one, though... [face_blush]

Is Kit/Nita one of your OTPs?

Umm.... I'm not sure what an OTP is, actually...

Does Dairine get on your nerves?

Occasionally. She's a Star Wars geek. Gotta admire that kid, even if you do feel like smacking her once in a while.

Did Wizards at War make you think of the Joiner King?

    *squeals* Its out already?!?!?!?

Do you even know what I'm talking about?

But of course. This series rocks. :D

 I'm such a spaz. I completely forgot I posted this topic.

Now for my answers to my own questions:

1)Not really. They're cute and all, but it wouldn't break my heart if they ended up with other people.

2)At first: deffinitely. Now: Not so much

3)A little bit. Of course, I read WAW and TJK back to back...

4)I seldom know what i'm talking about, but, in this instance, I actually think I do.:p

On a side note: Wizard Alone comes between Wizard's Dilemma and Wizard's Holiday.

New topic:Does anybody have any info on Wizard of Mars besides the fact that it hits stores this autumn?

Heh. Haven't checked back here in a while.

But I haven't heard anything about that book ... not even the title until I checked your post. Maybe Duane's site'll have excerpts posted like it did for Wizards at War.

I've been checking the site periodically for excerpts but there are none up so far.
