it seems pretty clear the 14th is a winner yes ? If there is no problems with that I will give them a call this weekend to confirm.

That's a bit cruddy - 2 hrs isn't really that long if you are having dessert as well!! I hope that the meals don't take forever to come out then....

PS... How many did you book for??? I think that e-i and I are coming!! I noticed our names aren't on the list yet!!

problem is they want a $20 per head deposit...which leaves me to pay $200 !

 

Did they say why they kick us out after 2 hours? Does the room become a part of a nightclub or something?
I guess if we've finished eating there's other areas of the pub to move too.
If we haven't finished eating, there's no way they could kick us out.

 

Don't pay the deposit yourself - that is just silly!!

When do they need the deposit by?? I am also assuming it is non-refundable??

Everyone who says that they are attending should pay the $20 per person direct into the SAFF bank account, and then you can arrange to pay the deposit directly out of that - you are not out of pocket and left "holding the baby" (or paying the bills) if people pull out at the last minute!! You will then know the right number attending and book only for that number.

Wasn't this one of the points of opening the bank account - so people didn't have to pay for things like this out of their own pockets???

After speaking with the manager today, they have decide that they wont throw us out after 2 hours ! Yay!

They are in the process of updating the online menu & the food will be more expensive than what it already is
