I thought I would start this up because we are tending to clog up other threads with non-thread stuffs.

Feel free to drop in, have a cup of [face_coffee], and relax, vent, happy news, general junk going on in your area.

I know it's starting to get winter up here in Minnesota, and I don't travel w/that white crap on the ground, so it's nice to keep in touch with other areas of the MidWest (and beyond).

So ... yeah... HI! How are ya'll doing? :D
It's 30 degrees here, snowing, and I'm 25 miles away from my boyfriend on his birthday. I just want to go home and snuggle with him! [face_love]

There's snow on the ground here. We hand rain with thunder and lightning this afternoon and this evening the rain turned to snow. First time that I can recall thunder and lightning while it was snowing. The snow looks pretty on the ground :). But I want snow tires on the car before I attempt to drive in it.

I'm sorry you can't snuggle with him on his birthday. That is tough :(

I just plain hate this weather. It is cold, windy and wet. All the makings for a good day to stay in bed with a good book. :p

Lol, this is the midwest mod social thread so far :p

I don't like the weather either, got soaked coming back from running errands this after noon. Since I have no had or hood yet and was too stupid to remember to grab my umbrella, my hair was a sopping mess. At least it's short so it dries quick :D

    The more the merrier.

And I second the notion that this weather makes a warm bed and a good book incredibly tempting.

    I finally broke through it!
Took a while, but once I had the general idea of what I wanted, it just came out.

it didn't give me a really long chapter, but then again, I didn't really need on for what I was writing about.

I am undertaking something of a big project.

It is a continuation of my AU story I did earlier this year. When it is finished, it will have spanned from RotS until RotJ.

I am making it 5 books.
the first 2 will split the 20 year span in between the trilogys, and the other 3 will be dedicated to ANH, ESB, and RotJ.

I think the original AU story is in my signature.
If anyone wants to read it, please feel free. It was my first shot at a Fan Fic.

And if any one wants a trailer of the sequel, le tme know, as I have written one.

I just hope I can captivate a larger audience this time. Or at least one that puts more comments in the thread.
    I like to hear feedback.

Wow, I can't believe it is supposed to be in the 70's for Thanksgiving day. Well, time to break out the shorts.

It was like in the 50s where I was at. Today is only low-40's, Tuesday in the 50's again, and they are promising 15 on Thursday morning. Blah. [face_frustrated]

At least - I got some Turkey!!

We haven't had any snow yet :( Silly bipolar weather - today it was in the 50s. Last week the windchill was in the single digits, if not below zero. All I want is snow... just enough to make it pretty... is that too much to ask?

We had a lot of ice, but little snow. But I got my power back today, so I am content... :D

Ice is no fun. I suppose it's a good thing that it's not snowing here yet... it should wait until it's going to stay cold so we avoid the freeze/melt/slush/freeze/ice/slush cycle.

I'm sure I remember regular winters - ie snow for Christmas, consistent weather, etc. - when I was little. Was it just my perception or has the weather actually changed that much?
