Social Thread or No Social Thread

basically I have noticed that the jcc doesn't have a social thread like most other forums do. Basically I just noticed this and I was wondering why it did not. I am sorry, but doesnt the jcc need somewhere for general offtopic socializing like everywhere else? I cant see any reason why the jcc should not have its own social thread.

What is the mods opinion of this?

First, as a JCC-specific issue, this should really go to the JCC mods.

Second, I know JCC has had social threads in the past - are they all dead/closed now?

Finally, in many ways, most of JCC is like a social thread.

I'm not opposed to social threads as long as we don't suddenly have twenty of them.

Meh, social threads in JCC usually end up full of smileys and whatnot. Meh, I say. Meh.

 

Yeah, the "come in, everyone" threads usually don't last long (we even had an "official" one some time ago ). Every other chatty thread just... happens. Or they say hi to Dave.
