Yeah, it's true. I was reading about it over at Slashdot the other day.

They keep mentioning BTTF4 every couple of years. I very seriously doubt it will ever happen.

(Granted, "Rocky Balboa" is actually underway, and Indy 4 is progressing at its glacial pace, but still)

Although I do applaud MJF for thinking about returning to acting, he's only done one live-action role since Spin City it seems.

    Rick McCallum loves you!

If Michael J. Fox goes deaf and has to resort to ASL, will it be like he's stuttering?

There was some entertainment news the other day about how they were filming one of the fighting scenes and Stallone got himself knocked out cold.

    I laughed.

Ok I just found something weird. Browsing throung IMDB, I came across the movie Eragon (In Production). Looking at the credits I found some odd connections. For example:

    The Underworld connection:
Patrick Tatopoulos - Eragon: Dragon desiner - Underworld: Creture Designer
Trefor Proud - Eragon: Key Makeup - Underworld: Key Makeup
Mac Ruth - Eragon: sound recordist - Underworld: sound recordist
Augusto Grassi - Eragon: Leather Master - Underworld: Costume Supervisor
Tamás Vass - Eragon: second assistant director (second unit) - Underworld: second assistant director

I found similar connections with these movies as well:

    Dinotopia
    Sleepy hollow
    Tomb Raider 2
    Batman begins
    V for vendetta
    Van-Helsing
    King arthur
    Various harry potters

These movies were produced by various studios including Paramount, WB, Universal, and Touchstone, so I don't think these any kind of studio connection that these people have. I would also make sense if they were all camera operator types, or all VFX workers, or all audio engineers. But they're not.

    Any ideas?

Are they being produced in the same country?

hmmm. very possible. Hungary and Slovakia for Eragon. I'm not sure on the others.

That would be very odd: Having armies of orcs, vampires, werewolves, and other various monsters marching around in your backyard everyday.

I'd like to see it too. The writing isn't bad. The story is just cobbled together from parts of Star Wars, LOTR, and various other Sci-Fi/Fantasy. And also, Treasure of Sierra Madre. o_O. I liked the first book better. It didn't have so many blatent plagarisms. just subtle ones. Also the second book had more than a few story and dialog cop-outs. I especially like the part where he sees his friends in a vision while training, and jumps on his X-win- I mean dragon and zooms off to the city in the clou- I mean smoke. :D

ahahahahahaa. yeah, i find it much more enjoyable than a lot of fantasy books. Besides, it becomes addicting once you start reading.

Both movies are shot in Budapest, where the film industry is likely a little smaller than Hollywood.

Forest of the Sith seems to be a lot of people's favorate social thread title because it plays on a cliche. I came up with another title that plays on a cliche.

EBAY WARS: (insert name of some Star Wars movie with a few words changed to fit the situation) Social Thread v5.0

EBAY WARS: A New Hope... for fan films to stay okay with Lucas Film

    EBAY WARS: TheForce.net Strikes Back

They filmed Underworld in Hungary. Budapest is a typical stand-in for Moscow or 'Misc Eastern European City' where you need a car chase scene.

    Hello new thread. :)

I for one can't wait for the second Underworld movie to come out in 2006 - I liked the original enough to warrant wanting to see this second one already. :p

So, I just bought a house.

Time to finally get out of apartment life and into a house. This is our first house. I turn 21 the day after tomorrow. I feel like I have a pretty good start on life. It's a smaller house, but a lot bigger than our apartment was (plus a backyard, etc). And it's like $12/month more expensive than our rent was.

We closed today, and the funding just went through a few minutes ago.

    I am so stoked.

I hear ya, man. I moved into my house back in March. The reality of this place being mine is still sinking in.

    BTW, don't let
VaporTrail visit. He still isn't housebroken.

Why is it that people always assosciate good, unused ideas with mods?

    nyar.

    measurements:
    width: 10 inches
    length: 12 inches
    height: 5 inches
    weight: 5 lbs
from what i can tell i believe it has one of those anti-steel devices on it, like the little metal strip, and i think the box is white, not sure though.
    what could it be?
