    I had exactly that thought. I don't think it's plagiarism. It's just an accessible, universal story. But the similarities are uncanny.

    Wow. It's been a while.

    I have stars?!

    This is just terrible news... Of all the people that have ever truly inspired me and my ideas, he was one of the greatest.

    Over at Facebook, Nate started a trend of everyone posting their favorite McQuarrie piece. Figured I'd bring mine over here... try to drum up some conversation.

    It's been a while since I've been on the boards. Facebook has spoiled me. Anyone want to point me in the direction of relatively decent fan releases from the last couple of years? I'm a little behind.

    So something awesome happened to me today... I went to Gamestop to pick up my preordered copy of Mass Effect 3. I payed with my card, and I had to show my ID so he could verify that my name matched that of the one on the card. When he gave my card back, the guy said, "That's such an awesome last name by the way." I responded with "Yeah, I know."

    The reasoning behind this is that the last name of the main character in the Mass Effect series is Shepard, (my last name is Sheppard), and Mass Effect 3 has been the most anticipated game of 2012 since it was announced.

    I had to resist saying "I'm commander Sheppard, and this is my favorite store in San Antonio." And I'm not gonna explain that reference, so you either get it or you don't. lol

    I've got another free story for all you Kindle folk ? free through Monday. Happy St. Patrick's day!

    =========

    <IMG SRC="http://i.imgur.com/MzM7u.jpg">

    Meet Iris. She's an individual?but, then, who isn't. She's a firebrand, a malcontent, a fussy contrarian, a willful non-conformist. She's the kind of girl who just doesn't fit in at Rockaway High, though there isn't much proof that she's tried.

    It's St. Patrick's Day, which Iris thinks is stupid?but, then, she thinks a lot of things are stupid. And she ain't wearin' green. Not a thread, not a scrap. But when she shares a little moment with the boy she's had her smiling eyes on, she'll need the luck of the Irish to win his heart.

    Award-winning writer and filmmaker Adam Bertocci has been praised by Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, The New Republic, GQ, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Back Stage, Broadway World, E!, Maxim, IGN, Film Threat and more. In "Kiss Me, I'm Iris", his first short story for young adults, he finds an unforgettable voice in the hyperactive mind of a teenage girl.

    Alright, instead of complaining, I'll mention my job, how's that. I had said that I got an internship back in November, but I'll be the lead wedding editor at Bigler Productions for the 2012 wedding season.

    http://biglerproductions.com/2011/12/valerie-joshs-wedding-video/

    One of the things that I brought to the table was After Effects experience, which in moderation helps to give the videos a bit more flair to help compete against the other big wedding video producer in the area.

    So, it's been fun, and looking forward to the next season.

    Well, I made a screen grab of the forum page in case anyone wants to keep it for nostalgia. This board has looked basically the same since I joined in 2001. This is crazy.

    The front page has looked basically the same since the start of the year.

    Oh man I'm witty talking about the low traffic on the board right? No I'm not right.

    Firefox had mine still filled out. Pretty much ever browser I've used does that if I tell it to, including the one on my phone... Thought it was a universal standard...

    But at any rate, hey HEY hey, been quite a while. Never went to the temp forum during that time, so I feel a bit deprived. What's been going on?
