Pancakes are free flowing. They only stop when they begin to cook. Waffles are confined to a prison waffle maker, trapping them.

Stamped out like so many mass produced products of modern industrialization. Devoid of unique qualities.

Like so many droid factories on Geonosis.

 

Don't get me wrong, I've got waffles in my freezer right now.
Some of my best foods are waffles.
I will eat them, I just identify with my pancake bretheren.

Pancakes would like you to believe they are free flowing...HA!

Truth is, they lock up almost the moment they feel the heat...on a skillet that could be theirs, they are afraid to do anything...and thus cook themselves in stagnant fear.

Waffles expand, even within their confined fate. They lift the oppressive iron like a Hercules of flavor! Often times, the waffle will even find ways to escape the clutches of the iron, gasping sweet freedom few foods can know! How fleeting, yet how wondrous that moment, before the escaping batter succumbs to the heat at last...or perhaps the paper towel wipe!

Pancakes tremble in their freedom...Waffles endure the struggle and emerge all the greater!
