Some Charity Pics

Our group went to a small school on the outskirts of Porterville called Rockford (K - 8th) on their last day. We signed anything from papers, to shirts, to arms, to pizza boxes, and even report cards...

Wow, all the way to Porterville, and as I used to teach over there, I know that school well. Awsome of you guys to do that.

Just a thought, recently, while I was still CR of Tulare County FF, we were asked to do a number of Charity events, the Lemoore Relay for Life (which still needs SW characters for next May) and Valley Children's Hospital. When I was with the Southern CA SW group many many MANY moons ago, we did a lot of visiting children and cancer support appearances. Since Tulare County was fairly adament that they did not want to get involved in the charity end of the spectrum (which is fine), would your group be interested in picking up the slack. I know that Valley Childrens would really appreciate it. (Just hold on to your hearts, cause those kids will definitely crawl in and stay there!) And would you be interested in next years Lemoore Relay for Life (My vice-principal at the school I work at is in charge of it). Specially since our other local group buggered out. Hopefully I will have a Stormtrooper by then... But again, you guys looked great and would like to be involved in any charity work you do.

How long ago did you work at Rockford? My mom has taught there for the last... wow probably 8 years now. She started out her first few years in 5th grade, then has dropped down to K for the last 6 or so years. Her name is Miki Smith if that might ring a bell. I was born and raised in Porterville, moved up to fresno to attend Fresno State. If you don't mind PMing me your name? or posting it, whichever .

DF, I taught over at Oak Grove, but Subbed at all the schools in the Porterville area. Also, still keep my horse boarded over there. Lots of friends in the area. The name does ring a bell, probably a face would be better.

Teach Special Ed over in the Hanford area now. I'll PM you with names and stuff. so, anyone interested in doing some charity next year?
