Something I just noticed

I don't know if this is something that's kinda obvious to everyone else or not, but I just realized something about the Death Star after looking at a picture of it the other day. Inside the circular indentation thing where the superlaser comes out of, you can see a bunch of parts that are indented deeper then the rest of the circle. At first I just thought they were the spots that the lasers themselves came out of (and what I just noticed doesn't actually disprove that) but after seeing it close up I realized that they actually formed the Imperial Symbol, 'carved' into the circle. It's not really a big deal, the primary function of those indentations is probably to shoot the different lasers that make up the superlaser, but I just thought it was a cool detail.

I'd figured those wedges going to the outside rim were just a remnant of the way the disc had been built. I never thought to count them!
