Don't know how I missed this before, and hopefully I reading it wrong.

In the NEC is says that the Mandalorians destroyed the Ithullans 200 years befor TPM. However it also says that bounty hunters/Durge and the Jedi killed the reigning Mandalore because of this.

However that happened 100 years before the TPM.

Why did it take 100 years for the Jedi and the bounty hunters to get the Mandalorians back for their crime?

Why not? That amber pilot light atop Barad-dûr took long enough to melt, few millennia from what I hear. Not everything is unified assent, and that it took a century means there was much debate in the council. A council that had changing faces over ten decades. Possibly longer than Padme's Revlon residue. I don't need to say Jedi Council either, like all the books each time, as I know my readers understand there's only one council ever mentioned, and not the Grandmaester convocation at Oldtown.

Leave all mention of Arda from your demented ramblings or my revenge will be a tale told of in whispers for a thousand years!!

Arda is the name of the entire planet that Middle-Earth is on, including several other land masses as well as the Undying Lands to the west.

But yeah, it was most likely a typo. It's doubtful that the reigning Mandalore would stay on the job for 100 years before being taken down in vengeance.

then it's a pretty big typo. It's not a matter of years, it's the wording itself. The 200 and 100 dates had already been established in other sources.

Durge kills Mandalore 100 years before TPM: Databank

Mandalorians destroy Ithullans 200 years before TPM: Numerous sources

    The dates are fine.

However according to the NEC it took 100 years for the Jedi to get revenge on the Mandalorians for their crime.

As I said, politics, council debate and even the means to judicate the culprits are major factors. Perhaps the feebwizs just wanted to find the actual Mandos responsible, not the whole lot? That's would be like them, brave and honourable and her golden hair streaming pure and fair, as the book described Eowyn's posture before the Nazghul chief.

For 100 years the council was in debate over what to do when an entire race is whiped out?

    Whiped out?

Is this something to do with The Hat?

Maybe Mandalore was wearing the Hat, and that's why it took so long to kill him. They were trying for a hundred years to catch him with that damned Hat off...

    That would explain a lot.

As for the Mandalore, I assume he have several organ transplants or something (he couldn't be too young when the Ithullians got offed, and he'd still need to be fit enough to be Mandalore a century later).

I always loved the scene with Eowyn offing the Witch King.

Perhaps what's wrong here is not the hundred year disparity, but the notion that the Jedi would decide (no matter how long they debated the subject) to extract revenge and wipe out (or whiped out, as the case may be) an entire peoples...
