Oi Grieyls technically I'm correct in my assertation that no Star Wars song has words!, when you consider that the words in the Star Wars songs don't make sense, so there u go!, all Star Wars songs have no words which make sense! bah! lol

Hmm... I thought they meant something like "the battle has begun..."

Perhaps I'm thinking of something else.

For Duel of the Fates John Williams used just one line which was traslated literally into Sanskrit from Robert Graves' translation of the Celtic Poem "Cad Goddeu" ("The Battle of the Trees")

"Under the tongue root a fight most dread, and another raging, behind, in the head."

Thanks for the info Silmarillion, that was... interesting.

Speaking of songs, what is everyone's favourite star wars song?

I'm partial to Duel of the Fates, Qui-Gon's noble end (which I'm listening to at the moment), and the Augie's Great Municipal Band/end credits one.

Okay, so that's not really *one*, and that's just TPM!

    Anyone?

I love the mian Star Wars "anthem" lol, and i love the music when Leia presents the medals to the brave boys lol at the end of a New Hope, I am impartial to Duel of the fates too, i think that it has a "mature" sound to it, like it is fitting to the scenario in which it is played, I also think that music that plays when Luke has just found his aunt and uncle killed is great music, moved me when i first saw Star Wars at age 6 and still moves me today:) I like ohter Star Wars songs too lol, but if I were to carry on detailing those songs this post would be too long and i'm tired so I'll give it a miss lol and it's the "force Guild" agm tommorow:) lol

I was always partial to the one played while Han is navigating the Asteriods during Empire.

The deep, gregorian style chant that accompanies the Emperor. I love that. I also enjoy (especially) Duel of the Fates, and Qui Gons Funeral. The new finale for Return of the Jedi is also one of my favourites.

Favourite SW music? That would have to be the Imperial March.

Non-SW music would be One Long Day by Cold Chisel.

So close no matter how far,
Couldn't be much more from the heart,
Forever trust in who we are
    And nothing else matters!

Sorry. I shouldn't try to type and sing along at the same time. It gets confusing.
