Can we please the Jedi Master Luke version of that fight please ?

I only like Dark Luke in fanfic form, but man I'd love to see a vision or something that lets Mark Hamill play a Dark Luke because OMG that would be awesome.

 

As long as he used his Ozai voice.

 

I honestly think seeing Luke fall in RotJ would've been more interesting.

What a horrible ending to the trilogy, though. The point and interesting thing about Luke's journey is that he didn't make the same mistakes as his father - he broke the mould and was the Jedi the old Order could never produce.

My present theory?

Kylo Ren and Kira are siblings and are going to be the Jacen/Jaina of the New Trilogy.

Which would suck as the ONE thing from the EU to bring over.

 

I think their are many things brought over from the EU,but their subtle.

 

Dunno, it seems like an old mythological motive, just like the fight of the father against the son. You could say it is core Star Wars, even.

 

I'm actually in favor of a "siblings on contrasting paths" ST in theory, it's just that LotF did it terribly and I don't trust Abrams to handle it any better.
It would be a shame if they threw out the EU only to do pretty much the same thing as the worst part, while overwriting the best.

 

Well, the characters aren't named Jaina and Jacen, so it appears he doesn't want to follow LotF too closely.

 

I expect sometime around 2030 we'll be getting JJ Abrams' rebooted Lord of the Rings trilogy, staring Fabra the Hobbin and his loyal friend Stuart.

 

Change for the sake of it? Look at that Bolo-Ball Droid, for instance. Tiny in the group photo, also by comparison to the width of an X-Wing, yet we appear to be being asked to believe it can do anything a full-sized R2 or R5 can.

 

Names getting changed changes the possible LOTF plot how? Brother falls to the DS, Sister fights him, LOTF right there. Didn't they say that they threw out the EU to make their own story? Give us something out of left field like the Vong!

 

I suspect strongly many have been misled and sadly most won't realise how badly till they're in the cinema.

 

I dunno; JJ's "masterful misdirection" with Khan was the most unsurprising and widely expected thing since the sun came up that morning.

 

That's not even close to what I meant. Besides wouldn't know stopped at Trek '09.

Some may feel so. I however think Luke did make many of the same errors as his father he simply doesn't pay the price.

I think it'd be an awesome end to the trilogy. Show Luke is flawed and redeem him so he knows what he's warning against.

Arrogance, pride, anger, violence.

 

Here's the big difference between Anakin and Luke.

Anakin, when his failings are brought up, does not really acknowledge them until it's too late, if at all.
Luke, when reprimanded by Yoda in RotJ, says, "I'm sorry," and means it. One of my favorite moments in the saga, really.

 

attacking a sith lord to protect your sister is not naked violence in my books. And all that matters to me is that when faced with the impossible, Luke chose sacrifice, he chose the light

 

All of which he is shown to have rejected and risen above by the end of RotJ. I really hope Luke's character development - the core of the OT in my eyes - is preserved, even if they're dead-set on backsliding the rest of the galaxy for the sake of conflict.

 

Please elaborate. Misled to think there's a sibling thing? Or something else?
