but weren't all the people in the church just innocents? I like my heroes, to actually be heroes.

The fact that Harry felt huge remorse over all that, even though it was beyond his control and the church people were vile racists, shows that he was a hero

I thought the church scene was excessive - because it was so damn long. After two minutes or so I wondered what the point of showing further slaughtering was, if not exploitation.

But I don't blame Harry for that because you see, he was literally drugged.

This. Those people were far from innocent and could be said to be the physical incarnation of everything that stains Christianity and gives it a bad name.

Of course, part of the thing in Kingsman is that while he's a decent enough fellow, he has serious flaws which blind him to the evil having taken root in his organization.

On the plus side, GREAT NEWS!

The second of my novels coming out this year dropped today!

    http://www.amazon.com/Esoterrorism-Secret-Files-Red-Room-ebook/dp/B0110HOKV6/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1436154049&sr=1-1&keywords=Esoterrorism Phipps

    WHOO HOO!

Funny coincidence, it's also a urban fantasy SPY NOVEL!

There are no good guys in the world of shadows...but maybe some bad men are better than others.

Derek Hawthorne was born to be an agent of the Red Room. Literally. Raised in a conspiracy which has protected the world from the supernatural for centuries, he's never been anything other than a servant of their agenda. Times are changing, though, and it may not be long before their existence is exposed.

When a routine mission uncovers the latest plan of the magical terrorist, the Wazir, Derek finds himself saddled with a new partner. Who is the mysterious but deadly Shannon O'Reilly? What is her agenda? Couple this with the discovery the Red Room has a mole seeking to frame Derek for treason and you have a plot which might bring down a millennium-old organization. Can he stop the Wazir's mission to expose the supernatural? And should he?

Well, it's all related to Mark Hamill's role and that gets us to Luke!

Alternatively, this tangent has happened as Dark Disciple is released! The mods are occupied. [face_devil]

    Luke is awesome!

HE BETTER NOT DIE IN THE NEW MOVIES!

    That is all.

He should also have a red-headed wife somewhere.

    re: redheads

There needs to be a crossover where Luke crosses paths with Gibbs.

I can see Luke as a monk type while still having a wife that isn't Mara. :) I know many here are Mara fans but I never thought either suited the other and no I'm not looking to fight.

At this point, I would be happy that he has or had a wife.

I want him to have multiple wives, all at once. Two of them named Calista and Mara, of course.

The way I'm looking at it, Luke will make Archie look like a chump.

Mark Hamill said he "expected" Luke to become a hermit after finding out the woman he crushed on was his sister. Note the past tense. Yes, I'm holding onto that for dear life.

I'm okay with either option because Luke could dedicate himself to isolation, Force training and droids or maybe raising a family away from the intergalactic spotlight. It would be more fitting from a plot perspective if he became the Obi-Wan figure. Skywalker is a cool last name for the next generation protagonist to have, though. Rey as his daughter would be neat but I still feel mom wouldn't exist at this point. Orphans and absent or single parents are totally a thing in the series.

A thought: if Luke has gone into seclusion from public life for whatever reason, that doesn't necessarily mean he's living in a hermitage. I kind of think the thought of an older Luke secretly wandering the Outer Rim righting wrongs could make for an entertaining comic series or something, and it has a certain resonance with some of SW's influences.

Even if Luke is in the movie for only 5 minutes total I'm actually okay with that. Just wanna see how he behaves and what he's been up to and what his power level is at.

    Ding, ding, ding.

    Correct answer.

I love the idea of him being a journeyman wanderer, saving lives, taking on followers as he goes and leaving behind fully trained Jedi in his wake who then do the same thing.

Get me away from this centralised Jedi Order affiliated with the galactic government phooey and let them become a loose brotherhood of knights errant.
