~Souls Embraced~



Title: Souls Embraced
Author: EmpressJade
Genre: Poemfic and romance.
Set: Near the end of the Timothy Zahn novel Vision of the Future, 19 years after ANH, this is where a poem is told of a tender moment- Luke?s love for his wife-to-be.
Characters: Luke and Mara (Good news for you Mara/Luke fans out there!)

Note: This is my first attempt to have written a Poem fic as well as my first story posted for the Beyond-The-Saga forum,plus Iv?e always wanted to write something for the happy couple.
However, this is to say that the events that occur within the novel Vision of the Future and the novel itself belongs to the creative mind of author Timothy Zhan,
not me and nor do I own the Expanded universe of the SW galaxy,
for they are the property and copyright of GL himself.

~Souls Embraced~



As I gaze outwardly I enter a dream.
A dream that sleeps under a blanket of diamond jewels ,
a galaxy of a wondrous star sea.
She gazed out forth as if by a trance as her eyes looked into the ice-black void, which can be filled entirely.
For the love I behold for this woman before me.
~

As I see with mine eyes how I love her so deeply,
she is of a woman with a sparkling gaze of emerald green,
and with hair a fiery sea of sunlit-gold.
In her beauty and of her grace I find serenity.
And I let both mind and spirit slip from my grasp into the dream do they dissolve.

A single look from those eyes of green gems can make me simply forget,
the past?s painful sorrows, and many tears of regret.

In this moment in time do I share the energy of our strength with this woman.
As I enter this dream I never want to fade.
Into a world remote from our knowledge.
As we bind our souls into the unconscious meld as Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade.
A world where one cannot touch if conscious, where it is untouchable from
bitterness, anger even hatred.
That has scarred our war-torn galaxy and each planet decayed.

Those feelings of the past.
It is the Future that keeps us united together.
By our Souls Embraced our love grows strong form this day to the last.
We are not strangers nor enemies, they are of Past
We are close friends and lovers as the future brightens fast.
By our love, compassion and strength these feelings do we allow as Love and light separates hate and dark.
As the Force links us both in which we never want to let it part.

I look at her now, and let a thought come to mind,
did my mother share an equal beauty?
As I rembember the echo?s of the Past that?s left behind?
From what I can tell I cannot say, but here in our dreams
do I want those images to stay.

We have entered each other?s lives,
As we stand as two like the many husbands and wives.
With our Souls Embraced and our hands united we can heal together, Those scars of life?s painful strives.
The wounds of the Past in time will fade,
As we look to the vision of our future as Skywalker and Jade.
With our two hands we can rebuild, help
recover things lost in hopes of those things remade.

Through our compassion, trust and loving care
We share a bond that no evil can tear.
As my heart tells me so I have found happiness at the core of my soul here,inside me it rests.
As it wealds a light a bright as your radiance I find near.

We leave this room, which is where reality lies,
My hearts of hearts melts and my stomach like butterflies.
You are someone I know and being with you is something I live for,and I lo
