Rogue One [Speculation] Might we see a young Lor San Tekka in Rogue One?

I think Forest Whitaker is playing the villain. Besides, you'll have Tarkin, Vader, other commanders, and perhaps even the Emperor himself.

 

Yes! Having him in Rogue One would be a great move.

 

Current rumors suggest that Whitaker is playing a bounty hunter-esque character, while Ben Mendelsohn is playing the main villain.

 

Well then, he could be Cad Bane in a wheelchair which would be pretty awesome.

 

Interesting thoughts of Lot San Tekka as Jun Erso's pops. Is this still the rumor?

 

No, Jyn Erso's father was confirmed to be Galen Erso, played by Mads Mikkelsen.

Would be cool to see Lor on Jedha, worshipping the Force, in a cameo. Of course he wouldn't be "young" exactly. He'd still be late 40s or 50-ish at RO time.

 

Perhaps Paul Bettany could pull it off. He's 6'3" vs Max's 6'4". Paul is 45, but perhaps living on Jakku made Lor look older than he was. It would almost be like reprising his role as Silas in The Da Vinci Code.

 

Come to think of it, Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt would be a good choice for young Lor San Tekka, if not in Rogue One, then an anthology film.

We will def see Lor San Tekka somewhere, whether this film or another in the future. he has to have some connection to Leia more than just an old friend. He had the Luke secret map for one! He is important and he knew a lot about Kylo Ren too, before he cut him down. He is a significant character. I hope he is on Jedha. Maybe he helps organize the Rebels? We will hear from him...
