Speculation Season Starts: Let the Sequel Trilogy Rumors Begin!
I'm all for the Bea Arthur bit.
Nice dig at the EU in there.
What part are you referring to?
Yes! Bea Arthur is in.
Is she even alive?
Um, yeah . . . remember that thread I started about LFL spies? Someone's been reading this message board. Ol' Steve sounds like Kitster.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that the plan IF Star Wars (ANH) wasn't a big success? I thought it was the low-budget alternative story.
Really? I hadn't noticed.
You're right, that was the backup plan.
Nope, she died in 2009. But I'm sure she'll appear as a force ghost.

There's one of your spinoff movies right there -- Golden Rods. It chronicles the last years of C-3PO and R2-D2 as they bicker and fight with their live-in roomate played by Bea Arthur's CGI likeness.
Will there be a rickety oversexed droid? Can we get Joan Rivers' droid character from Spaceballs in on this?
Yeah, with Estelle Getty and Rue McClanahan. Being one with the force actually means being stuck in a South Florida retirement community.
Now Betty White as a Sith Lord.....
YES! That's a great idea.
That is awesome! Pure gold as in -- I smell an Oscarrr.
Now, May the money be with us!
I want a Star Wars movie full of old people. I'm afraid of change.
Heh- I remember those NSync rumors! They were everywhere! My friends would come up to me daily and spout them as gospel. "Hey, did you hear Leo DiCaprio is cast is Anakin?" Me: "Um, no, he's not." Them: "Sorry you just don't want to admit it, but that's happening." Those people didn't shut up until the movie came out.
That whole N'Sync scare was pretty bad. Thankfully there was so much public outcry over it George left them on the cutting room floor. I just hope Disney learns a lesson from that.
