You can relax CJ, according to AICN, Venom is:

Finally, according to FS.Net, Danny Elfman has worked out his differences with Sam and IS working in conjunction with Chris Young to create the new score. Yay!

 

Yeah, I can see his teeth beginning to elongate! The best thing is, it seems like theyre sticking to the comics and making the spidey-venom not have teeth, and the brock venom have teeth (the short hair confirms that this isn't tobey, but topher - weird how those names worked out, huh).

GOD THIS IS GONNA ROCK!!!

3 ways to catch the BRAND SPANKIN' NEW TRAILER this Thursday Night:

why does it look like the goblin is riding a snowboard?

 

Yeeeeaah, there has been a lot of talk about the ?snowboard glider? since the first preview came out. A lot of people were holding out that it was just an awkward camera angle, but this more or less confirms it. Personally, I?m shocked that the people who brought us the "Avengers/Guiding Light" team-up would make such a strange, completely-out-of-left-field decision.

Oh, well. At least Sandman and Venom look cool. (Well, maybe ?cool? isn?t the word I?d use for Sandman? but accurate.)

PS: Is it just me, or dose the snowboard glider look like it?s a poor attempt at an XBox 360 tie-in?

 

Travis, when I saw the "snowboard", I thought the same thing about the Xbox 360. But with it being a Sony deal, I highly doubt it. Maybe they should have made it all black, put a giant 3 on it, and done a cross promotion with the PS3.

Spider-Man fans will get a long-awaited sneak peek at Columbia Pictures' highly anticipated motion picture Spider-Man 3 when a new, full-length, two-and-a-half minute trailer debuts in a special unprecedented "road block" across Viacom Inc.'s brands and on the CBS Television Network on Thursday, November 9, at approximately 10:00 pm. Spider-Man 3, starring Tobey Maguire and directed by Sam Raimi, kicks off next summer's moviegoing season on May 4, 2007.

The television networks airing the new trailer include BET, CBS, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Spike TV and VH1, with each supporting the event with custom promotions both on-air and online. A total of 14 online destinations from Viacom's networks are supporting the airing of the trailer, including AddictingGames.com, AddictingClips.com, BET.com, MTV.com, IFILM.com, Nick.com, ComedyCentral.com, GameTrailers.com, LOGOonline.com, Neopets.com, SpikeTV.com, The-N.com, VH1.com, and Xfire.com.

Immediately following the television premiere, a high-definition version of the trailer will be available exclusively on MTV Networks' IFILM.com.

funny thing is, the 3 in the spiderman trailer LOOKS like the 3 on the ps3...

Maybe they'll follow up the trailer with a PS3 commercial, since it drops like next week.

 

Here are my imperssions of the trailer:
In the opening shots, I thought that Spideys costume looked a little weird. Maybe it was the lighting, I dont know. But I was very aware that I was seeing a CG Spidey. Ya know, aside from the flying from building to building.

I liked all the Venom shots, I thought they looked sweet, and that it what got me hyped to see it.

Sandman looks OK, I never really read the comic, so I could be wrong. But as a casual Spidey fan, it works for me.

CBS actually aired the trailer in Hi-Def, which I was very surprised by. And aside from those opening shots of Spidey, visually it looked awesome. So, when does the line start?

 

After seeing that trailer, I'm ready to start now!!
I have to agree with you though Chris, there were parts of it that looked awfully CG-ified...
Thought they stepped it up a notch with the FX on Spidey 2, hope they don't slip back down again!
All in all, my Spidey-Sense is tinglin'!!

 

as far as I am aware, from the shots I have seen of the old sandman, he looks great. Spidey is ok, and even though I hate the snowboard, I LOVE the GG's new costume. Those wrist blades are decidedly predator...or jango fett...

I liked the black costume...still wish the spider on the chest was white, but I digress...there's clearly a difference between the red and black spiderman...the black one looks slightly beefier, more heavily built...and thats honestly how it should be. The one thing I do regret is that there were no shots of Venom himself...even a half shadow-covered shot of him, tounge lolling out through sharp teeth would have been great...one of those Tyler Durdan specials, where you have to pause the shot to see that it was there in the first place. Still, not bad. I do want to see it...just not so sure its going to be #1 yet...then again, at least its kinda close to the story...Have you seen what they're trying to do to transformers????? lol.
