Your theory holds water though, SD, soon only kids of the rich and famous will be able to study in their expensive, beautiful skools with multiple football/soccer fields and colour-coordinated paint schemes.
Education just isn't what it used to be.

Over here, we have taken to having entire intakes of foreign students, since they are not entitled to government subsidies and have to pay cash dirrectly to the skools. Foreign students also pay higher skool/tution fees and board on campus, this lines the pockets of the skool with cash.

I hope you guys manage to work things out, you guys are pretty smart, imho, and I'm sure you'll be able to take care of yourselves.

Just out of curiosity, Destructo, I noticed your use of "skool." Is that how you folks spell "school" over there, or is it some sort of joke?

 

I don't respect skool enough to spell it properly.
When I was younger, my buddy had a t-shirt that went :

Birth.
Skool.
Metallica.
Death.

I decided that Metallica was right and my teachers were just plain wrong.

Metallica is one of the best bands ever. I hate the fact that Newsted has left and they now have no bassist. I want a new album dammit! And I'll hate it if their new album doesn't go back to being metal. They are masters of that genre, but when they start playing around with rock (ie. Load and Reload), they are on dodgy ground.

I'd just like to say, that in my opinion, the GI Bill was the best thing Washington ever did.

 

Favourite song? Hmmm....tough choice. Probably Blackened or And Justice for All, though I like all songs on Puppets and Justice.

As this is a hatred thread, I'll just say that I cannot stand 'Where The Wild Things Are'. Metallica's worst song, IMO.

I hate the tuition hike, as well. And it just gets bigger & bigger every year...

I also hate that I have a Miami metermaid/sir to thank for my first parking ticket ever-- BAM!, 50$ down the drain.

 

That's nothing, AK. I've gotten damn near $200 in tickets this year. They keep catching me unawares...

 

Hmm. I guess I should be appreciative of the fact that this is the first time I've been caught... ...but it's too hard on the pockets for me to be too grateful. Heck, I even fed the freakin' meter!!--who cares if it was in an unrestricted area? Pfooey.

Are you an off-campus student, Spider? I am, and the only place I'm really able to park is at Millett; Campus Ave. is out of the question because my parallel parking is... uh... shall we say horrible?
