Nicholson just played Nicholson in clown makeup. "Phoned it in" is just an expression meaning that the guy wasn't "really there", during his performance. Did not give 100%, wasn't particularly captivating. Hope that helps.

i hope han is supposed to be a grumpy old man in this movie because i sort of can't imagine harrison ford playing anything else. breaking his ankle or whatever certainly isn't going to brighten his demeanor.

 

If Simon Pegg is in SW, a bunch of prequel gushers are going to be furious.

 

Abrams is well aware that Pegg is a staunch defender of awful movies in sci-fi franchises as long as he's cast in them.

 

He's already played Dengar in TCW.

 

Who gives a damn? I mean, they like terrible films and should be ashamed of their terrible tastes.
