Variations of Maury & Vader always pop up in my Facebook news feed from time-to-time.

 

If those memes are supposed to be funny, I think I can cross Star Wars off my list of 'need to watch' now. Thanks guys.​

 

Most certainly aren't funny in a typical sense, but can at least produce a chuckle or a semi-grin, akin to how one reacts to a monologue from Jay Leno's The Tonight Show.

I did! You parroted what Frieda had said a few posts back concerning the Archer memes... it wasn't that funny.

 

They're not... they're just old... memes before there were memes, if you will. They pretty much illustrate that memes have never been funny.

 

Tunes, you can't say "old bean" unless you understand cricket, agree it is better than any Amerisport, and drink pints. It is the law.

 

I've done at least one of those things.

 

I used to use Leno's monologue to help me fall asleep at night.

 

I am Leno's monologue.

 

You don't put me to sleep like Leno does. You are more like a Conan monologue. Bright, eccentric, and fully of energy most of the time.

 

At least I'm not Fallon's monologue.

 

Eh, neither of them can touch Johnny Carson on their best day.

 

While Carson's genius as a comedian & host can't be denied, I've grown weary of the worship of him among entertainment folks & others, the sentiment that "There'll never be another Carson! He's the absolute best!" Respect is one thing, but too much reverence is another. You see it too a lot of the time in sports, and it can be as equally annoying there (a prime example: Michael Jordan's NBA career).
