i mean a cartoon based on the characters from michael bay's tranformers movies or mariah carey's glitter could also be good, but i would never find out.

 

Clone Wars is good despite being based on the worst iteration of Star Wars we've known. I mean, as bad as the continued iterations of the OT are, with Lucas' incessant application of the process known as Worsification (whereby elements of the Prequel Trilogy and enhanced graphics are inserted into the Original Trilogy to make it more bland and less good), they are still better than the Prequels.

So when you take something that was stupid, badly thought out, barely connected, dull, uninteresting, stacked with paper thin characters who made an aggressive point of being unlikable, and threw them against unexciting alien worlds that were frankly no better than a matte painting in a high school play in terms of believability, and you manage not to make it worse... it's still saddled with tremendous baggage.

I enjoyed the episodes, but mostly because I'd seen all the Droids stuff as a kid and we weren't getting any of the good era Star Wars stuff coming along. Now we have Rebels, I'd heartily commend it and also never watch TCW ever again. Or even finish it.

No but really; after the final of Rebels and even with the SPOILERS, I am reminded of how much awesomeness Rebels is and how, with limited budget, it's a gazbillion times better than the Clone Wars. Which can be entertaining in spite of the dire source materials. Because it's really WEGgy.

 

Clone Wars was fun, enjoyable and grew into itself over the years really well. However, I wouldn't call it especially "good" in a conventional sense. Rebels is all of that but with the hallmarks of a more quality programme. It also takes the best of Clone Wars and then brings in OT influences that adds so much more to the show.

In short, Rebels is the dogs testes.

 

I wonder how bleak the show will get. After all we know Tarkin & Vader will survive until the OT starts, but the heroes don't appear.
Will Disney really sanction a show where all the heroes die?
There were rumours of some Rebels characters appearing in TFA, so many some do what ahsoka did.

Sam Witwer is apparently voicing the Emperor in Rebels series 2.
He's a good choice, I liked his voice for Darth Maul in TCW. And, despite the numerous flaws in the games, he did a decent job performing Starkiller in TFU.

 

Yes, he made me only wish the entire development team for The Farce Unleashed died in a fire, instead of slowly and painfully from careful torture.

There is nothing good about TFU. Ever.

Only the first ten were on my VoD, so have to wait a few days to record and record the last few.

 

The last one I watched was with Lando. I was thinking to myself the whole time, "this guy is really hamming up Billy Dee's voice". Little did I know...

 

Rebels is so good.

 

And it's so much more consistent than The Clone Wars ever was, too, even in just its first season. TCW had some great episodes, but it also had complete garbage episodes too... not to mention pointless and jarring jumps in chronology between many episodes.

 

I just do not care about the following:

1) Badly voiced Obi-Wan's romance (except not really) with Satine
2) Mannequin Skywalker
3) Clones
4) The prequels
5) Clones
6) Novelty episodes about Jar Jar
7) Prequel politics and
8) The Clones

Rebels avoids this. TCW had, in fairness, a lot of it.

 

So, you just watched for the Ahsoka bits, you perv?
