Just logged into my account. Looks like everyone has permission to create events by posting "stories" in the "Create New Content" section.

We should definately fix this.

 

I wouldn't get all excited about it, it isn't like we use it very much. I've apprised John of the situation.

 

I can easily fix this.

Also, I haven't upgraded the site software for some time, I've been waiting to do a re-design. Most (if not all) of the spam should end with the update.

 

I've deleted the spam posts, I've also made it impossible for spam bots to post news on the site. This means that only certain people are allowed to post news for the time being.
