Right, I'm sitting here watching the Tri-Nations rugby and realising I need to have an outlet for me to talk about sport. I realise that none of you guys probably follow sports that I watch, but I'm sure you watch something! Yeah, so feel free to come here and dump on your team or whatever. ;)

Okay, the English Premiership starts this weekend and I'm really looking forward to this season. The games coming up are:

    Blackburn Rovers v Sunderland
    Charlton Athletic v Chelsea
    Everton v Tottenham Hotspur
    Fulham v Bolton Wanderers
    Leeds United v Man City
Man Utd v West Bromwich Albion
    Southampton v Middlesbrough

    Go Leeds!

Like I mentioned, the Tri-Nations rugby is also on tonight. Australia needs to win by 26 points to retain the trophy. They're currently 9-0. I hope they can do it, but it's a big ask.

I used to follow football, mainly Dutch football, but the thrill's gone a bit for me. It's all semi-important sponsors and managers trying to sell images and brands.

And don't get me started about the aggression that comes with it here. Man.

    Everton v Tottenham Hotspur

That one should be nice, though. And the Chelsea match. And Leeds vs Manchester City -- the City always sucks! ;)

    But my money's on them.

Oh man, they just started the leeds match and it's live on tele! Sorry mate, this I have to watch.

And an Everton supporter I know said that if Holland had made the World Cup, they would've won the whole thing.

    Food for thought. ;)

    It is true, you know.

    Enjoy the game!

I think that's been there for a while actually. You have to learn to look past all that crap and watch the game for what it is - a beautiful game.

Looks like we're going to lose the rugby - not that I thought otherwise. We haven't won in South Africa in aeons.

I passionately hate the BS around it, but the game itself I love.

Have you ever heard of Johan Cruyff?

Oh yeah. Played in the 60's, didn't he? I know he didn't get that many trophies (at international level), but his skills were awesome.

I'm not sure of his club career, actually.

He was fabulous. He played in the 60s and 70s. He was / is a joy to watch, it's bloody art.

His club career had ups and downs, just like his international career. He tried to start a club in the States, but lost tons of money because of it.

There's a documentary film about him, "Nummer 14" -- beautiful film.

Yeah, that's a pity. If I ever find it / tape it, I'll send it to you.

But right now I'm going outside again. I just can't find the right place to be today.

EDIT: I know: I'm going for a swim. Brilliant idea!

I get to watch rugby every once in awhile on Fox Sports World, but I haven't a clue as to which teamis good, or which players are the best. So, I just watch for the hitting.

LOL. The top 5 teams in the world are South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Britain and France.

    They're big guys, aren't they?

    TOP OF THE LADDER, BABY!

Leeds made it six goals in their opening two games with an resounding 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns. It sent United to the top of the Premiership.

Terry Venables men rode out a rough spell in the first half when they looked likely to conceed, and hit Albion with a goal before the break from Harry Kewell and two goals in the second half from Lee Bowyer and Mark Viduka.[hr][/blockquote]
