Shouldn't you replace young Obi-Wan with Qui-Gon? After all, Liam Neeson is Irish, while Ewan McGregor is Scottish. :)

I don't know about that Guinniess. I mean really it does not fit in with Star Wars at all. On less there was a Guinness in the movie and I did not see it. :p

    Oh to much green.

I would think that the Irish motif would be better represented by having ANH and AOTC shots of Obi-wan taking a swig in the respective cantinas of each film. They could be on either side of the Guinness glass. :D

Good idea. Though for one measly day, I think they are fine using the banner from last year.

Lighten up guys, really. It's a couple days with a funny banner and some different colors. No one's promoting alcoholism or drunkeness. Even AOTC made a joke about Obi Wan getting a drink. So if anyone becomes an alcolholic solely from this banner, send me the bill for the therapy but let the rest of us have a little fun.

Why does Ireland get a banner for their holiday, but no other countries have banners for theirs? I mean, really. How many Irish posters are there around here? Not many.

    It's discrimination, I tell you! :p ;)

Create banners for Canada Day and Oktoberfest and I'll shut up. ;)

Maybe they're too drunk to log on? :D

AT60, that was a quick month!

"How many Irish posters are there around here?"

    More than you realize.

Whether you are 100% Irish or .000001% Irish you are still Irish in someway.

    [image=http://www.jeannepasero.com/beer.gif]

Now lets quit the fussing and start the singing!

    When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure it's like a morning spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter,
You can hear the angels sing.
    When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.

There's a tear in your eye,
    and I'm wondering why,
For it never should be there at all.
With such power in your smile,
    sure a stone you'd beguile,
So there's never a teardrop should fall.
When your sweet lilting laughter's like some fairy song,
And your eyes twinkle bright as can be,
You should laugh all the while and all other times smile,
And now smile a smile for me.

    When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure it's like a morning spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter,
You can hear the angels sing.
    When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.

    ------

O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountainside
The summer's gone and all the roses falling
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
O Danny boy, O Danny boy, I love you so.

But if ye come and all the flowers are dying
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.

And I shall hear, though soft, your tread above me
And all my grave shall warmer, sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I will sleep in peace until you come to me.

This banner was originally designed for the Irish FF Chapter. They decided on it as their banner to represent their forum. I think that it is fitting to have it as the Paddy's day banner and thank the JC for using it.

Alas, the Irish Chapter didn't work out, but it is nice to see that this banner is not lost and forgotten.

Darn, I saved this banner last year, thinking it was going to be deleted ;). My smart idea turned out to be such an oversight.

Now? everything is so déjà vu.

Actually Charis, it was the other way around, the Irish FF (or rather a non-Irish person living in Ireland last year) kept the St. Paddy's theme year around, since it said Irish Jedi Council on it after all.

If you're going to abbreviate the holiday name, please use St. Patty's day, there are no Ds in the name. Or I will e-kill you.
