Syra, NY St Patrick's Day parade

As some of you know St Patrick's Day is coming up and Syracuse will be having a parade. I was not a member of the group last year but Strawbary has said that last year was a lot of fun with people coming from all over to the parade. And this year we would like to continue with a fantastic show of force from us and all our chums.

The parade is on 13th of March and starts at about noon. we will get together about an hour to an hour and a half before to get set up.


So who is interested in coming along. I know I will be there.

 

I'm gonna try to make it. I'm also going to try to build a lightsaber for that too. I'll have to wait until my parents get home from the warmth of California to know any better.

 

Howdy all !

We had a great response last year for the St. Patty's parade. We had several chpaters join us. Karan was nice enough to let us use her house for the after party.
This year we have alot of people wanting to come back. Numbers are indicating it could double from last year.
So we will be trying to host the party in a larger venue this year.
Details to be posted as we get them.

We will not be charging our guests to eat but we will ask them for a Toy donation that we will be able to pass out at a Charity event TBA.

Our part will be to bring a dish enough for everyone. Similar to the picnic in aug.

Unless something very major and unforeseen comes up, I plan to be there with my clan. I would suspect from what I have heard of last year's parade that this would be THE event of the year for the Salt City Jedi. So if you haven't made it to any meetings or anything yet, plan on attending this event.

 

Hey I am Irish so I would so love to march in a st paddys parade. You think dressing up as yoda is a little too much. I will get Albany to go!

What were the totals last year? Sevem from Young Jedi Niagara, Three from the North Ridge (Buffalo), and... four from Syracuse. Let's try not to be outnumbered by our guests

Also, let's not be so darned serious. Who remembers Kevin and me starting to do an Irish jig? (Does anyone have a video of that? I never got a copy) Let's see how many Star Wars wackos we can get this time

im kinda tall to be yoda. But all the jedi could have green sabers.

 

Ehm... someone bring a blue one, so that it'll turn my yellow into green I don't think I could accessorize with green at all, but I'll see what I can do.

I'll take a MIDI of the SW theme and change all the instruments to bagpipes for us

Banner would be a good idea

 

Well, you get a really big canvas, spread some basic amino acids and such, then have the emporer zap it a few times. The building blocks should then spontaneously come to life, and if given enough time, will vary in color enough to use as the banner.
