OOC Stan's Bar (OOC thread for Marvel Heroes: Resurgence)

So I made this a week or so back and showed GJ but forgot to put it here.

For the curious, "poetic justice' refers to the fact that Daken stabbed the SHIELD agent that was Alastor's friend in the chest, and Alastor stabbed him in the chest, with a high velocity anti-tank round...

Also aside from Daken, Task, Fury, and Hill all the names are original characters that at some point in Alastor's back story he has encountered and killed, except Dahlgren, who has 9 lives.

 

Nice Kahn. So I guess Stark is purposefully missing and Shield doesn't know it yet? Interesting.

And now a few rolls for SGC's situation.

 

Is this a serious question? ( Now I'm curious as to what is clear in-story or isn't. ) *This will be addressed unequivocally very soon.

From reading your post from Shields point of view and then Alaster's people's point of view post he just added, yes. Yes it is a serious question. Looking forward to the answer.

EDIT: A fun fact, the tranquilizer rounds used by O'Neill in that fluff post are something I researched a lot after Xavier's II... because Alastor complained that he didn't have any. Specifically when he was expressing to Sage that while he could support her team, his results might be lethal. Quite literally Alastor's obsession with these little less-than-lethal rounds stems from the fact that in Xavier's II: Path of Heroes, he didn't have them as an option...

 

Yeah, no parent related trauma in Blueline and Casey's backstories. Because all heroes come from good families, and never lose their parents in horrible incidents.

I'll start, I'm Alastor, I'm a mutant and then some, never knew my father and my mother and sister died in a house fire caused by a psychokinetic. I've become an assassin, mercenary, and by your average standards, a mass murderer. I like Chinese food, strong drinks, and my wife's backside. My favorite colour is purple. Now, who would like to go next?"

 

The varied and often contrasting character backgrounds and motivations is something I'm enjoying here. It lends for some interesting interaction, introspection and character development. Quiet time and Go time are both crucial in a well told tale.

 

At least the 'good' guys sit down and talk about these things, the bad guys, they never get over whatever happened and they make the world pay pay pay! LOL! or they just like being bad for the fun of it, or something like that, lol! But character backstories no matter what they may be, usually makes for a fuller experience, it's the filling in the empanada, LOL!

 

Will try for a post as Kera soon, but crazy week or two coming up, plus busy weekend (two parties in two days. Phew. Social calendar is full! ) So. Just a heads up! Hope I can survive!

 

I just finished binge watching Daredevil Season 2 on Netflix and while I always knew there would be some allegories between Alastor and the Punisher, seeing as they are both essentially gun using vigilantes, this version of the Punisher is very close to Alastor (or vice versa). Willing to preform extreme acts of brutality, but ultimately, for a good reason. "You're a bandaid, I'm a solution."

 

Oh? Then I must see this 'Punisher' for myself. ( perhaps there is some overdue punishment to be administered, lol )

 

Ok, lets just see how this works then, shall we? For Isaac's current situation.
