Star by Star Someone dies and the evidence points to . . . .

O.K.

In my opinion two things are going to happen in Star by Star.

1.) Corucant is taken over or destroyed.

That would explain why the N.R. orders the retreat.

Some people might not want to hear this one cause I'm almost positive it will happen.

2.)The person who dies is . . . . . . .

Gavin Darklighter

His X-Wing is the one flaming out on the cover.

That is the personal loss for Jaina.

That is why Wedge commands the retreat.

It was the only conclusion I could draw from the limited info we have. Feel free to dispute it.

I hope it's not him, but even if it is, there are already numerous threads speculating on who dies. Post your theories there.

 

EDIT: Ya know...Gavin DOES seem like a good person to say well...die to I guess. So far, the evidence you gave points to him!

But I am kind of hoping it will be someone in tha family, like everyone else. But more likley it will be someone from Rouge Squadron or the like.

 

At least Wedge will live...

I hope he doesnt go. I loved in Rebirth when him and Kyp were talking about each other. Refreshing to see a different view

 

thats a really good idea and support you on it(even though i dont want to see him die).

 

If Gavin's death was crucial to a series plot point, I think we would have seen more of him in previous NJO novels. His death is certainly possible, maybe even likely, but I'd be surprised if it were the big 'personal loss' that is referred to.

 

The 'big personal loss' will be the death of Jimmy.

 

Im really not supposed to say this, but(I hope) initials will be allowed. The next person to die is A.S. I will say no more and hope Im not banned by thegatherer.

 

It isn't like Jaina and Gavin have had any scenes together where they bond in any way.

 

no enough of this jimmy crap. it won't happen, stop speculating that it will happen, and if you WANT it to happen, you're sick. jimmy's a great character.

gavin and maybe all of rogue squadron buys it. jaina will be all thats left, and in the retreat she'll have wedge's wing.

Jimmy is a sickening uber-powerful Jedi who is most annoying. There is only one Jedi who should be in such a role: Luke Skywalker, THE Master.

Yyou can read about Gavin in Onslaught and Ruin. And whatever NJO book you read, you've read about 'Jimmy.'

 

slimybug-Jimmy is the codename that we've given to the character who dies in S^2, and Gavin Darklighter is the Commander of Rogue Squadron.

 

The only NJO book ive read is rebirth.

Well we no that it's not luke,mara lando or leia and han lives to fight another day.And it's not going to be Anakin because the authers have made it some what clear that he is most likely to be the one who finishes the fight with the vong.Luke has seen it in a vision and so did Ikrit.So I believe it's going to be one of three people.Gavin darklighter,Admiral Kre'fey or Jacen but my moneys on one of the first two.Because what is wedge doing leading the retreat if either Gavin or kre'fey are alive.All I have to say is bring it on I can hardly wait for the next three books to come out.well only 55 days and counting until star by star.
