Star By Star title analysis.

Many people have been shortening Star by Star as SbS, while I have preferred to use SxS. Why? Star By Star said another way is "Star Crossed" and everyone knows that Star-Crossed is a euphemism for fated tragedy. Remember that in Romeo and Juliet, the pair are immediately identified as star-crossed lovers.
It is my theory that the title doesn't refer to the Vong taking the Galaxy one star at a time, or two stars next to each other, but rather certain fated tragedy.
Most of you already know one tragedy. I have a feeling there is going to be a lot more.

But yeah, I agree. I call it SbS simple because it's the letters, but yours makes more sense

 

Actually SxS would be Star-Squared.

Same as 5x5, not being 5 crossed, but 5 Squared.

 

Yeah, I call it SBS cause it's the leters. The same way with VP, and BP, and every other book. And I still thing it just refers to the galaxy being taken over star by star. Like that one line in.... well it was in one of the books. Maybe I'll change my mind when I read the whole unabridged book, if there's another meaning to it.

There is probably a way to stop the vong alittle bit, try poisioning the astroids their ships eat or find a way to kill the worldships with chemical weapons and take them out while they are crippled.

Open up a worm hole to the ST galaxy and drag a half dozen BORG cubes over to GFFA, Let tehm loose deep in Vong territory. Then stand back and watch the fire works as the BORG try to assiilate teh VONG and the VONG try to wipe out the even GREATER infadels. Sure then they'll have to deal with the winner but in the mean time that'd be quite a fight to watch!!!!

 

'x' means times when your dealing with numbers and means crossed when your dealing with Matricies (multiply matrix's).

DL then interprets that his 'S' stands for a matrix (commenly called a set of equations but its not really that). However if it is truelly a Matrix you learn that S crossed by S = 0

So SxS means nothing. SbS should be the proper way to abreavitate Star by Star not SxS.

 

You know the only way to defeat the Vong is with long division and various other forms of maths. Ahahahahaahhaahahhahaahaha!

 

HC5 is know known as the Reality Paradox, which excitingly focuses on Qwi Xux's attempts to solve the first order differential equation that prove the Vong are a mathematical impossibility.
