I.E., CA Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

May 20th is the opening day

 

We're so there! Do I hear an IEFF get together in May for STAR TOURS?

 

I hope they don't push the opening day

 

If I think about it, the opening is in conjuction with Disneyworld not Disneyland. I could be wrong.

May 20th is the opening day in FLORIDA. They haven't announced the opening day for Anaheim yet and can't announce it until Disney decides on what day the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides red carpet will take place at the resort. However, it will probably open earlier in the month than the 20th. Florida is just opening theirs on the 20th to coincide with Star Wars weekends.

There's a rumor of May 10 for our park, but that's also depending on when the Little Mermaid ride decides to open.

I cant wait for this ride to open it will even have a new cast Vader and stormtrooper, skyroopers, Boba Fett, Yoda, Admiral Ackbar, Even Princess Liea and Chewie..

I wonder how they will work the princess part??? may use a cut scene from a New Hope??

 

Okay kiddies! June 3rd as you know is the official public opening of Star Tours. I, meaning me...as your your fearless leader will be attending the festivities with my Wifey and nephew all IEFF members to support the grand opening. I wanted to see who might be able to join us for the day or part of the day?


We will definitely be doing a group ride on the 26th for SW Day, so if you can't make it on the 3rd, we'll hopefully see you with us on the 26th. Either way it'll be a blast i'm sure!

So the Wifey and I went to Disneyland on Sunday. We went over to Star Tours (Which is still boarded up)and you couldn't see anything there. We did however go into the star trader store and they've totally revamped the place including putting the X-Wing in there for great viewing. Enjoy the pics

Okay folks! Went to the opening day of Star Tours and wow wee wow wee it was awesome! Here's a few pics of some limited items I snagged as well as some pics from the day. We waited THREE hours to ride ST but it was worth every minute! The ride now in 3D and is alot smoother! The crowds were full of excitement and the wait paid off as they updated the ride in several ways. You could tell the folks loved it! The 3D (which I don't like at the movies) made the ride seem more real and so so choppy and rough. The updates all the way around were totally awesome!

As we were getting in line we ran into a friend of mine William and his wife Claudia and friend Julia. This really helped the line move. We got to sit in the front row and the rest is history! The whole ship was cheering as we got in, as we were traveling, and as it ended! This was an A+ ride all the way around. Being that there's 54 separate ways to ride, cant wait to see what's next! At the end of the ride we got our Star Tours Passports stamped, very cool! Enjoy these pics!

Those pics were great. Glad you all a lot of fun. I know someday we will go on this ride. I'm glad the wait is well worth it.

So sorry but can not afford it and Bill has to work that day. Since our son moved home, we are just getting by with what Bill makes. Our son still has not found another job yet. Being broke sucks!

Planning on being there on the 26th. Didn't make it to opening day. We ended going on it Tuesday before the offical opening. The crowds looked horrendous.

 

Awesome! We'll have to meet up for sure! The crowd was long but they had it moving quite well. We had friends to talk with so it was good. Plus the folks who were there were all there for the same thing, as in for the ride (hard core fans, ha ha)!
