I can't wait for the new Star Tours - not just for the obvious reasons, but for a personal one.

 

This was rumored a few months ago.

As far as announcements are concerned, not sure if it will officially be announced at D23.

Hopefully when I go to Disneyland in Oct it will still be open. Give it one last spin.

 

It's not a rumor. It's already pretty much done (trust me). Just waiting to see when they close the old one and open the new version. I can't wait for the official announcement so I can finally say why I've been waiting for this!

Fierfekking pod race... I hope that's not just it and only a concept...

They should really do something more battle oriented otherwise it's gonna be like Days of Thunder rather than Star Wars. It'd be cool if they did something from each movie though. Pod race, Coruscant speeder chase, opening battle of Ep.3, Battle of Yavin, Battle of Hoth, and Battle of Endor... but more of the later would be preferable...

 

Trust me, there's definitely more.

 

Now that its official, I can finally congratulate my buddy Dean from GGG for being chosen to play Boba Fett in the new Star Tours ride! He can now claim being only the fourth person to say that they've been in the cockpit of the Slave I, following Jeremy Bulloch, Temuera Morrison, and Daniel Logan.

We will be making a trip to disneyland at the beginning of next month so if there is anything you want matt, let us know. It could be your bday present.

 

We will be there in mid October buy we're flying so it might be harder to get things back if they are bulky.

I was there for the presentation (D23) and it was somewhat clunky. Of course Bob Iger and Dick Cook
aren't necessarily the best people to present this stuff, and the storm troopers getting into a shoving match
as the filed on stage didn't help much, either (although it was hilarious). You can bet there's more to 2011
than pod races. STAR TOURS is far too popular for Disney to allow it to dwindle.
