We've shared a lifetime of adventures, snippy repartee, amazing passion, and boundless devotion. We keep each other's hopes up, dreams alive, and grounded in reality all at the same time, as best friends who are "soul mates" are good at.

Now that our kids are growing up, we feel it is best to stay more or less put. We're tired of the politicking in certain spheres, although we've never cow-towed to anyone ... We've stretched our own professional and personal limits and moved into spaces and paths we never imagined all those years ago.

This joined together empathically aspect -- it isn't crowding at all, and it wasn't, even in the beginning. It was exhilarating, like finding the other part of yourself.

Will we be able to stave off the restlessness that may come next week, next month, next year? We'll make or find adventure and discovery in any endeavor we pursue together, I staunchly believe.
