    J/A - I can't see James T. Kirk settling down either.

Spock/T'Pring - I think it's very telling that she gave the book to him.

S/U - Even if that small woman wasn't Nyota, it's still a natural reaction to have.

    Great posts!

Jim/Audrey: Kirk needs to go first among the stars, so settling down is not something that he would ever do as long as he is Captain. He has tried to make time for family and friends, but unless they are there with him on the ship, he has very few.

Spock/T'Pring - A very telling part where T'Pring feels Stonn, but also feels Nyota within Spock. The "Balance" really to Spock is Nyota and she is destined to be with Stonn.

Spock/Uhuru - Getting through tough missions where injuries occur will always be a risk in the unknown regions of space. Nyota's reaction is tempered pretty seriously by Spock who tries to explain that Jim's tactics, while not the greatest, achieve the desired results. There will always be risks with missions, it's getting the "Balance" right that makes them successful despite the consequences.
