Yeah i cant wait either a differently look at the star trek series

But if they have them onscreen crap that they had during the films i will be might pissed of,

Iam talking about the thing in the right hand corner "enterprise is near launch" or whatever FFS we know that.

Everybody should join the campaign to get rid of em. I cant remember the addy at the mo but try search engine "logofree tv campaign" I am a member and send emails to the bosses of this stations to sort them out!

It will total screw up my "backup" recordings i will make.

I hated the first episode. The second one is slightly better but it really kicks off by the third episode.

Smallville, on the other hand, is wicked, mind you. No link....

Yep! gonna be cool. the problem for me is that mum likes to watch crap on tv at 8pm, so if i go downstairs and say 'mum, can i watch star trek for an hour on sky' i might get told to pee off! AND i can't tape it in backgroung cos our vid don't tape sky for some reason known only to the video and God. Well, i'll try it and hope for the best!

Pilot's not bad, but I found it didn't really get going until the fifth or sixth episode, the Andorian Incident. That was an excellent episode.

    I really liked Smallville.

But I'll be watching the Enterprise pilot tonight if only just to laff at Scott Bacula who reminds me of a cheesy porn star without the tash. Kinda like William Shatner last night in ST5.

Oi , I like Scott Bakula ... traveling through time , putting right what once went wrong . And the last episode of Quantum Leap ruled . Plus he was nifty in Lord of Illusions . Oh , and my mate Martin from school is a double for him .

I didnt like him in Lord of Illusions. Although that is a good movie.

Oh come on Al Smallville is a piece of crap!

It's more kitchsy then SW, what with everyone knowing each other etc.. besides - everyone knows supes had nop powers til he was 18.... [face_plain]

As for Enterprise - I've only seen Episode 7 or something - and I really liked it. If the first episode is up to that standard then it will be serweeeeet!

Oh come on Al Smallville is a piece of crap!

    Indeed.

It's more kitchsy then SW, what with everyone knowing each other etc..

Revisionist crap like the introduction of Luthor as a Smallvillian or Lana as an orphan is indeed pants. Nevertheless, the actual concept of mutants running around due to the Kryptonite meteor shower is wicked. Give me that metaphor over Buffy's in your face ones anyday. Besides, the fact that the Lana of the movies plays Supes' mum is just too Freudian to not like.

besides - everyone knows supes had nop powers til he was 18....

Depends. According to John Byrne's "Man of Steel" of late eighties, he started developing his powers when he was a little kid. Indeed, Clark was a star quarter back and he could fly by the time he was sixteen. He just did not done the suit till the "they all wanted a piece of me, ma" incident with the space launch three months after moving into Metropolis.

According to that, however, he only finds out that he is not a mutant but an alien when he is 28. (edited typo, not 18 but 28)

"It was Krypton that made me Superman, but it is the earth that makes me human!" Classic Byrne!!!!

As for Enterprise - I've only seen Episode 7 or something - and I really liked it. If the first episode is up to that standard then it will be serweeeeet!

    It isn't.

And if I were you, I would check the mail on Wednseday pretty early! ;)

ps. - you read the Nemesis script yet? - Matre said it was looking pretty good to me!
