I thought it was one of the better pilot episodes for Star Trek. TNG had a good pilot, but I didn't like it at the time as much as I do now.

 

This is the first pilot Star Trek episode I've ever seen. And apart from the 'functional' soundtrack at the beginning I really enjoyed it. I shall be tuning in next week.

 

The problem I have with it comes from a calculation by Bernd Schneider, according to which Qo'noS (Klingon Homeworld) is one lightyear away from Enterprise's position. I know I'm a nerdy nitpicker (is that a word? well it is now!).

 

I'm usually like that with SW. If you're guilty of being a 'nerdy nitpicker' Then by hell we all are.

 

No nit pick away. And if you think that is bad, just go in the classic trilogy and TPM forum for nit picking.

I don't know if like the ship yet. The enterprise D and E were my favourites.

 

Those Americans love their nitpicking don't they.

 

Now if you're really bored just go into the spoiler forum and say George Lucas is a has been and that Star Trek or LOTR is much better.

Then sit back and watch the flames. Not that I condone that sort of action Alpha.....

 

I liked it. A lot, actually. Didn't like the opening music though. One thing with Star Trek is the music. I normally love the opening music. Voyager and DS9, anyways... but Enterprise's is rubbish, IMO...

I liked Scott Bakula as the captain too. And was it just me, or is that Vulcan science officer extremely foxy?

 

OMG, I keep forgetting to tell everyone. I didn't see them but the some of the cast of Enterprise (not Scott Bakula or the Vulcan) were in Leicester for Xmas. They did a promo on the big brekfast on Xmas eve and one of the cast is from Leicester so they were going to go to Weavers (a wine bar, two doors down from my local) for the Xmas eve party.

 

Scott Bacula didnt do it for my I'm afraid. But I suppose, since he is kinda the first to do the space thing sorta then he was okay.

Now...his blue underwear...and the codpiece (cuz it MUST HAVE BEEN a codpiece). That made Enterprise for me.

The Vulcan lady had false breasties too. No womans boobs are that pert! And she has a squinty mouth. Her hair was nice though...although I thought she was very 7of9ish.

 

She did have a funny mouth didn't she? It was like it was too wide. I like pouty lips but hers were just wide.

 

Yeah but that bit when they were waxing eachother up- now THAT was just dodgy. But I wouldn't have minded being in his position.

 

now that was just gratuitous. I liked it.
