Wash, DC Star Trek: Nemesis

I might be able to go. turns out I have the day off because I have to work that saturday 8-4.

 

Well just be sure to check a few days before. Insurrection didn't play on Potomac Yards, but instead on Pentagon City (uuuughhh). So we trekkers at the office had to go elsewhere. On the other hand Hoffman will probably have it for sure and they even have bigger screens. Plus it's Metro accesible.

 

Hoffman is Metro accessible, which is very good if people are coming from all over. I've never been there, but I've heard it's a very nice theatre.

 

Where would this Hoffman be? I dislike Pentagon City immensely....

 

Are we still doing this if so I am in.!

 

The Hoffman AMC is on the yellow line at Eisnhower (sp?) It's a good theater and not as cold as hoyts. I think that would be a good place to see it.

 

Yeah it's only like 10 min. away either driving or by Metro from Pentagon City/Crystal City. They are quite nice, even a bit nicer than Potomac Yards. Eisenhower Avenue is the Metro stop, just one before the yellow line finishes. You can clearly see the theatres from the Metro, just cross the stret, so there is no problem of not finding it or getting lost. They just opened a Ruby Tuesday Grill right there inside of it. All screens are stadium seating, even the tiny ones.

 

Then HOffman it is, I say. I'm in. I'll check and see if they have shows listed yet. I'm assuming 8 pm is a good time?

 

I just checked and they will have it. Here are the times:

1:00pm, 1:45pm, 4:00pm, 4:45pm, 7:00pm, 7:45pm, 10:00pm, 10:45pm

 

My Saturday night party has been cancelled, so I'm good to go on Friday or Saturday evenings

Since we wanted to go opening night and all, and I think most people could go then. I will laugh myself silly if I'm the only one who makes it, as I don't actually like Star Trek all that much.

Saturday is always better than Friday for me. If you all choose the 7:45 on Friday then I likely won't be there since I don't get off work until 7:30ish and we're a little backlogged. So TK and I will just have to see it some other time...

 

I'll be there, but I need directions. If I remember correctly, someone said it was Metro accessible, so which stop and how far do I walk?

Kam, if you're going too, can you bring my hat? I realized I left it after I got on the Beltway and didn't want to turn around.

You can't miss the theatre from the metro station, it's right next to it.

 

I still don't know if I'm going. I'm not really into Star Trek. If I go, it will be to hang out with you guys.

 

Well, if you don't want to go to the movie, you can hang out and catch us after the movie, I'm sure some of us will be up for doing something afterwards.

 

I don't like Star Trek either, I just like hanging out.

On kings street there is a place called the Rock It Grill that does Kareoke, it could be real fun

Yeah, if you don't want to go to the movie, I'd say drop by about 9 and we can meet up and go from there. Just let us know you're going to do that so we know who we're waiting for and don't bail on you.
