Seriously, feast your eyes below but read the blurb first!

    STAR WARS #11

    On sale Nov 13
    FC, 32 pages
    $2.99
    Ongoing
Princess Leia’s stealth squadron is together again, just in time to fight for their lives. The Star Destroyer Devastator launches an all-out attack on the Rebel fleet! Meanwhile, Vader’s secret agent realizes what it could mean to fail the Dark Lord. And, on Coruscant, Han Solo’s luck may be changing—unless . . . well, unless it isn’t . . .
    Artist Carlos D’Anda returns!
“Brian Wood and Carlos D'Anda truly have the making of a classic on their hands.” —Newsarama
“I like to think of this comic as the pilot for the lost television series that was supposed to take place between Star Wars and Empire. Everything about it screams Star Wars.” —Comics Bulletin

YEAH!!! SEAN COOKE ARTWORK HAS RETURNED!!! [face_dancing]

That art is stunning. Classic Star Wars feel to the style too! X-wing & Y-wings facing off against TIE Fighters, while a trio of Mon Cal cruiser grace the backround. ART!

I just had to be first to post this - though thanks go to BoromirsFan for tipping me off that the solicits were up via his Omnibus thread - due to the sheer visual splendour of the cover.

Whatever else this issue does, it has a killer cover.

EDIT: Just spotted this bit of the blurb:

Clearly not the sharpest tool in the box then!

So we have a Home One type, a Liberty type with expanded wing pods, and a Wingless(?) type with an underbelly pod. The latter two is how you do proper "no two are identical" while staying the same class, not one ship in a class is 3 Km and another is 17 Km.

As long as Boba Fett doesn't show up, I'm probably going to pick this issue up.

Ok, I haven't bothered to pick up #8, but I'll probably pick up this issue for that classic cover alone.

But Han is still on Coruscant? This is why I've mostly dropped this series. Oh well, a few more covers like this and I might start reading again.

EDIT- Oh, Sean Cooke, yay! Really awesome to see you draw OT ships.

I demand semicooke interiors. I don't care how many years I have to wait between issues.

Just to give my pal semicooke a shout out for past work, don't forget folks that he is the creative mind that provided us with prior epic images like this:

It would certainly make our running joke about "The Rebel Fleet" panels more fun.

    Double post but I don't care. :p

This is the image I instantly pictured when I saw that cover.

It evokes the old school cool factor of this pic, with the added detail and amazing scale that Sean brings to his pieces.

I don't know if anyone has posted this anywhere, but on his Tumblr Brian Wood mentioned he's contracted through issue #20 and that would most likely be it for him.

"Star Wars - I’m contracted to write up to #20. That’ll almost certainly be it for me."

AdmiralNick22 Yup that was the feeling I was shooting for. It was great when that was brought up in discussions...I loved Berkey's loose impressionistic SW stuff.
