Hearing ex-Lucasarts employes talk about this just makes me wish I got my hands on it so much more. I think Lucasarts was on the path to a big comeback.

 

Full E3 2012 demo. It hurts watching this video and knowing we may never get to play this game...

Well to be fair we never got to see the revised code in action. The new set of mechanics, such as the jet-pack, could have broken the game rather than added to it when you consider the game was already being built with a different vision in mind.

 

It could also mean that they came up with a new name for it.

 

1313 wasn't a very good name anyways. I hope they're still looking into finishing it because it was one of my most anticipated games.

 

You're right. "Star Wars: One Thousand Three Hundred Thirteen" would have been much better.

Game names are pretty dumb.

I kind of like the name "Underworld" associated with this.
I haven't followed all the news but the original idea for this game was one of the best in years, and it's a real shame we probably won't see this and will likely be reverting back to the more traditional games where we just get to play as stormtrooper/jedi/sith etc.

I don't mean to open up old wounds by bumping this thread, but by a weird coincidence I actually became acquainted with the actor who played the older guy in the demo (Robert Bogue) in real life and was in a movie with him. I had no idea he was the same guy. The character is even MODELLED after him. I could have harassed him about the game.

The REALLY weird thing was that I thought to myself at one point "They should cast this guy as an Imperial officer or something in Episode VII"

i kind of doubt he'll be able to talk about even a canceled game though. non-disclosure agreements and all that jazz.

 

I wanted this game if only to see the sequel.
