Same thing happened to Cpt Korro (Queen Soruna's Head of Security) in Shattered Empire. First time we met him, he was white. In the next issue, he was black. (I have to assume that Naboo captains are always black.)

I'm starting to get the impression that Aphra is officially going to eventually become Star Wars' Harley Quinn both in terms of character and popularity.

Think about it, they both started out as an iconic bad guy's generic female sidekick, then the fans got behind them...........;)

It definitely does look like they intend to do a lot with her character now, I'm wondering if she originally was planned to be killed at the end of the second arc when Vader was choking her but they decided to keep her in the story due to such positive fan reaction towards her.

You're all so very trusting of Kieron....

What do you think's going to happen when the Emperor finds out Vader has a new pet? [face_devil]

Sometimes I like Aphra sometimes I find her insufferable, however as long as she's kept as far away from vader as possible I'd been fine with her getting her own solo comic :)

Somehow the prison seems needlessly complicated considering the effort that must go into keeping it running and secret just for the sake of it, but maybe I just miss the old Rebel prison worlds that made far more sense. [face_dunno]

When I saw the Rebel prison in this issue, I was reminded of the Rebel episode "A Princess on Lothal" when the Ghost crew took Princess Leia "prisoner" and the one stormtrooper said to the other stormtrooper, "They do that now?" Could you imagine working for the Empire?

    (Later, at barracks)
TK 121: Did you hear about TK 122 and 125? Rebel scum killed them.
TK 522: I'm sorry to hear that. I know you all were pals in the Academy.
TK 689: Hey guys, did you hear the news? The Rebels are taking prisoners now!
    TK 522: No way?!
TK 689: Yeah, I know 2 troopers stationed on Lothal! Saw it with his own eyes!
TK 121: Great! Maybe next time they won't kill us all automatically and maybe try to capture us! Prison is better than death!
TK 522: Do you think they have a prison somewhere?
TK 689: Yeah, probably hidden way too close to a sun or something!
    (all laugh)

Gorefiend it seems you have nothing but bad things to say about the majority of stuff Marvel has put out over the past year. Are you a completionist and want to read everything regardless of rather you like it or not?

If the Rebel Fleet doesn't appear in an issue my interest is easily 50% or less. :p

In the original series, Star Wars #58, Leia decides to hide the Rebel fleet in the corona of a sun.

Man, these issues keep feeling like duds. To much "episode of the week". They are missing out on showing the larger war against the Empire. Heck, I wish they'd be bolder like Dark Horse. I love the Big Three, but there is a lot more they can cover.

Seeing this sort of comment from a level-headed fellow like Nick is interesting to me.

As anyone who has read Marvel for the last few years knows boldness isn't something they lack! Indeed, there are times when it would have been better for them to rein that in a bit.

So, that in turn suggest that Marvel may be operating under restrictions from LFL in terms of what they can or can't do.

Yeah, I get that Marvel has been exceptionally bold in their own stories, but I don't see this carrying over to their Star Wars line. I do think that LFL is asking them to play safe in terms of Sequel Trilogy stuff, but I can't see that being the case with the OT stuff. Honestly, the vibe I get is that Marvel wants to tell stories only about Vader being badass or the Big Three having an adventure. Imagine if instead we got a series covering a lone Rebel cell in the Outer Rim, or an Rebel agent deeply embedded in the Empire. One shots about Mon Mothma, Ackbar, or Wedge. Miniseries about the Mid Rim campaign that tie into Battlefront. The skies the limit!

Nice to see it's not just me who's seeing a weird inverse MO on Marvel's SW books!
