Welcome all to the first installement (that is if this first one is a success...) of the new 24/Star Wars crossover RPG The Truth of Reality!

Story:

1,000 years earlier, the Jedi were in a ferocious battle with the Sith. The Sith were in allegiance with a terrorist organization, which gave them help in the war. But it was not enough. The Sith were all but a few killed off, and those few have not been seen in the last 1,000 years. It is assumed they are dead. The terrorist leader was captured and has since died. But what is unknown to the Jedi is that a few terrorists actually survived, and have ?reproduced? with their wives/husbands, and with that, more terrorists.

During the last thousand years the Republic came up with the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), but it has not yet been in an important usage as of the moment. So the Republic was now defended with a shattered Jedi Order, who?s numbers have come to a standstill, and with a Counter Terrorist Unit. But in the last 1,000 years there has been no need for them. The galaxy has been at peace.

But when a sudden accident occurs in Coruscant, the Republic?s current peace is interrupted in a sudden burst. The Vice Chancellor, Noorania Kentchi, was taken captive by an unknown group of masked people who, according to the video tapes and the security officers who did not turn out dead, came in with blaster rifles and knocked Mr. Kentchi unconcsious. The video's were suddenly cut short, and the last thing seen in this video was a black-gloved fist slamming its way towards it.

CTU and the Jedi are quickly alerted and Kerii Jeminini, the current leader of CTU, and Moni Areel, the current leader of the Jedi Order, are left with the desperate mission to find and stop these people. Merramin Klori, the best you can get at CTU, is put in charge of a squad to investigate the Vice Chancellor?s office and bring back to CTU any evidence left there.

But a question that Merramin has been considering is, why was the Vice President captured? If they could get through the security there, why not get through the security at the Chancellor?s Office, and capture the actual Chancellor? Soon they will find out about the Truth of Reality...

Note: This timeframe is AU, so if events seem? strange to you, do not worry about it because we are just working off 3,000 years before the Phantom Menace. Also, I will be playing the main ?bad guy? as well as Merramin Klori. I will be posting twists and turns with occasional posts with the ?bad guy?.

Also, remember this: You can be whatever kind of person you want. You never know how they could come in handy later on or come in use of.

Another thing is, that after every so few sequences of playing, I will make a post that says ?The following takes place between?? etc etc.

Short and chubby was the Rodian before him with the repeating blaster pistol. He was definitely ?large? but had an uncommon accuracy and brilliant expertise found in each blast, or each few blasts, from the pistol.

Biography: Tanyyrahn was found by Jedi at a very yound age. He was in the 'Bear Clan' at a very young age due to his high force sensitivity. He was the Padawan learner of a Jedi Master who had gone to learn the Dark Side, Tanyyrahn was to young to know what was really happening. After his Master left Tanyyrahn was given the position of Jedi Knight.

He went on many missions and taught his Padawan learner who fell to the Dark Side. After many years he was made a Jedi Master and a seat on the Jedi Council.

Biography: Born, like many Correllians, to a family of Pilots, Noir was always the odd man out. The youngest of his 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Noir felt left behind in all aspects of life. He could fly well, but not half as good as his brother Syd, and in terms of Navigation, he was always outdone by his Sister Jayna. He instead turned to a life on the Galacti-Net (Like the Internet) and became proficient with computers and hacking.
By age 15 he had run away from home, living on a forged Identity and his skills. He worked for a computer consulting firm for a year, quickly beomming boered and moving to another company, becoming a ?1-800-133-9977-HOLO-FIX? over the phone repair man. At age 17, he hack the company computer system, and caused a complete system crash.
At 18, he took his skills to the streets, but found life harder than expected. He was picked up by police while peddling forged ID Cards.
6 months into his sentence, police droids in the prison went hair wire, killing 10 people, and only stopped when Noir hacked the computer system and was about to shut them down.
He was commended on his quick thinking and skill, and was pardoned. He decided then and there that he wanted to be a cop.
He spent 2 years at school, and became a police Tech. for 3 years.
Over the next 6 years, Noir moved up the ranks, and gained recognition for his skills in the field, finally being moved into CTU.

BIO: Doc Pulsar first came into retirement from the Republic Military as a full lt.CL., but soon found the civilain life not nearly as fufilling. Even though Doc was met with great oposition, he was still given the lead job for the CTU organization. Doc has paid a price for such a request however, seeing as now he has some very dangerous political enemies that will do anything to take away his command.

Biography: Sal has worked hard to keep his past a secrete. This much we know?

Sal was ?discovered? 11 years by Police on Ruan, when he saved 3 of their force from an ambush. Over the course of a year, Sal worked as a vigilante, and took down an extensive under ground drug and crime ring on the planet, and became an ?honorary Deputy?

Sal popped up on Caamas for a short time?and then on Vulpter and Kuat. Finally, word of his help on the planets reached Coursucant a year after he had been found on Ruan.

Here he trained to become an officer?and soon passed. He was promoted up the ranks over the next 5 years, his reputation and skills surpassing those of any officer in recorded history.

But not in the detective sense of the job.

He was trigger happy and brutal?but he always got the man?

Until one died.

That was innocent.

Incident after incident occurred until the Coursucant Police Force was glad to get him off their hands?

Labeled a lose cannon but a force to be reckoned with, Sal was moved to CTU, where he could ?Let out his Primal Anger? without worring about who was innocent or not. There was no grey area in terrorism?plus, they assumed he wouldn?t see much action?

Once again, the recording began. The doors to the Vice Chancellor's office were suddenly blown open, sending peices of finely carved wood flying everywhere. Immediately, security officers reacted. They withdrew weapons and rose their arms to block them from being hit by the wood. Then they crowded around Noorania Kentchi to block him from being hit.

Out of the smoke from the hallway behind came in six armed men, covered in black linen cloth and masks. They dived behind furniture, fallen bookcases, and any other obstacle that coulod block them from bolts. Suddenly one of the six that had entered rose to his feet and shot each secuirty guard in front of the Vice Chancellor.

Quickly, that man ran forward, and, with precision, took out the other three security guards. His blaster rifle then slammed hard into the Vice Chancellor's head, knocking Kentchi unconscious. Then he lifted him onto his shoulders and ran out of the room. Four others quickly followed him, while another punched out the video-camera, cutting off the rest of the recording.

Merramin Klori, seated in one of the chairs at the end of a large table, shook his head in disgust. He looked at the reaction of the other members of CTU, who seemed to him equally disgusted. The CTU headquarters were in shock at the new situation. They hadn't had a terrorist threat for years, and this new discovery was quite interesting.

Well, someone had to say something to break the silence, Merramin decide

 

Ic: Noir Lumiere and Sal Boaba

Noir watched the video play...over and over. Everytime it was a shock to him. How could htye have beaten the Automated security...better yet, how could they have beaten the sentient security.

He would have to see the rest of the system...the original...on the site....


Sal watched the video play...over and over. Evertime it was a shock to him. How could they be so perfect. So percise. It was like watching a intricate dance. He'd never seen a human do that so efficently...

He waited for the others to comment....

IC: Detective Tibbs

CTU Briefing Room

Rather than shock at the replayed video, the emotion running through the Ithorian investigator was excitement.

Doing security for the Senator was varied enough, but this was a real-life case, and an important one at that. He felt needed again.

He had looked over the other CTU agents present, all in the unit longer than he and his partner. He'd been CTU all of thirty standard minutes; didn't even have his ID yet.
As for the proper operatives, at least two of them looked shocked at the events being replayed for their benefit.

While they would have had to be the cream of the crop to be selected for CTU duty in the first place, without a case to investigate for several years, there was a risk that they had gone soft.
At the very least, the detective felt that he and Crickett were being considered as an injection of fresh blood.

Perhaps psychology was being used, he had mused on the way over. The Powers That Be perhaps thought that the old hands would redouble their efforts to avoid being shown up by the new guys. The Meerian Vice detectives certainly intended to get their man.

His headstrong partner wasn't even here, having gone straight to the crime scene rather than bother with this guano.

Viewing the holo, there were two things that bothered the Ithorian.

The single attacker who had risen, shot the six guards surrounding the Vice Chancellor before anyone could react, avoiding any collatoral damage to the politician, no less; and picked the fragger up to carry him away like he weighed nothing...Tibbs was willing to bet the assailant was a droid of some kind.
A particularly unique, advanced and expensive droid, since most certainly were not as fluid as organics, but instead quite clunky.
As for the other matter...

Tibbs raised a hand until the being chairing the meeting noticed him and nodded.

"Thank you sir. Detective Tibbs, Meerian Vice." he glanced round at the other agents. "We were meant to see this. Why did the attackers allow the security camera to record the proceedings and only then destroy it? Is it meant to frighten the citizenry when the networks broadcast it? Or is it meant to mis-direct those of us charged with solving this crime?"

Doc Pulsar and Hondo, CTU Meeting Room

Former army officer and now present head of CTU Doc Pulsar scratched at the gray stubble on his chin and thought carefully. He agreed with the new agent's assesment, Tibbs he considered the Ithorian's name perhaps, but his partner was apparently no where to be found for the moment.

Merramin had gotten the ball rolling so to speak, so Doc addressed him first, "Cooperation with local agencies will be a must if we are to find the Vice Chancellor and bring him back safely. And I'd like to thank Adura for extending the first hand of help in that area."

He paused a moment to address his whole staff, "And we were meant to see this for a reason indeed. Like any terrorist organization they strive to make a point. Let's check out this crime scene thuroughly, but expect some kind of contact from the terrorists to possibly come soon."

"Noir, I want you to head up the sattilite tracking efforts to see if we can make them leaving the premises. With all that shooting, they're bound to have a made a noisy leave. You can do this from the crime scene using CTU's computer equipment coupled with the original security system for the Vice Chancellor."

"The rest of you will be gathering evidence from the scene itself.", Doc finished.

Jace Onassi, better known as Hondo by CTU personnel, looked at the holo recording quizzically once more. He sighed impatiently at having to trudge himself to a hum-drum crime scene for more boring work. Hondo preferred to be in the thick of things right where the action was happening.

He didnt make a comment because of his lack of interest in the job he'd been given. Better to just get it over with, he thought.

Hondo spoke aloud to Doc, "Boss, when can we move out?"

Doc replied instantly, "Agents, you can begin now. Take the hover cars."

Noir nodded as he was told what to do...like he didn't already know. He turned on his heel and made quickly for the doors, adjusting his bag over his shoulder.

"Anyone comming with me?"

Sal looked to Noir, and hissed a responce.

"Thiz one will ride with you..."

He turned and walked out with Noir, and the two made their way towards the garage...

OOC: Hondo...there was a character in S.W.A.T. called Hondo.

IC: Having collected laminated CTU name-tages for himself and Crickett, Detective Tubbs made his way into the hover-vehicle bay beneath CTu headquarters.

The other agents were already climbing into their speeders before he had even reached his. He infinitely preferred the feel of real tarmac and ferrocrete under the wheels of his vehicle, to these impersonal glidey repulsor-lift jobbies; but still, orders were orders.

He opened up the engine, and zoomed out into the open air, enroute to the crime scene.
