No preview yet? I am surprised, since it is coming out this week.

Bumping, as this comes out today.

Oh, and since this has worked the last three times I have used it...

Any shots of the Rebel Fleet? [face_batting]

Coruscant Underworld Police (yep the same ones as in TCW) show up in this comic and immediately get told to shove off by Imperial forces.

Golan battle platforms are mentioned, as is Hans past as Imperial.

Rebel Fleet for Nick (it also has a shot of a Mon Cal officer, but I won’t spoil that one for you)

Mothma being pretty badass in this comic - “Every breath I draw is in Rebellion to the Empire” !

C3PO is actually being useful o_O

    Interdictor cruiser!

Imperial civil consultants on loan from Kuat helping in building the Death Star

    Spoiler ahead:

I'm starting to wonder why Vader was included into this arc. He barely does anything relevant. Why did we need to see him threaten the guys from Death Star II when he has done the same thing in the movies?

Besides from that I'm torn on this issue. I hope the x-wing squad doesn't really destroy a star destroyer and an interdictor. That would take away a lot of tension in future issues. Hans and Chewies escape was cool. Prithi acts either jealous or suspicious, can't decide. Mon Mothma is badass.

I was assuming these be the recipients of Vader's wrath:

Imperial civil consultants on loan from Kuat helping in building the Death Star

    Is that not so?

No, he actually killed some Admiral who backtalked stupidly that they can't fill the quota and if Palps is unhappy about that he should come to Death Star II himself. Pretty pointless suicide.

    Edit:
That consultant stuff, was that in one of the marvels? I recall something something about loans.

Pity. Dumb of that Admiral though, you'd think he'd know better!

EDIT: Actually I quite like that, gives an added edge to why Moff Jerjerrod is the way he is in ROTJ

Yes, I guess so. It still has little to do with the main plot of the whole arc so far.

Also the thing felt a bit heavy-handled because by now the Imperials should be up to speed how Vader deals with those who insult him. It was obviously put in there just so Vader can run someone through with his saber.

Hmm, I'll see for myself when I read the trade but that's kind of like a redshirt scene for Trek really, 'tis traditional!

Definitely. If Vader appears somewhere, he has to get a couple killings under his belt quick quick. :p

You know what I'd like to read once? Vader and Villie hooking up for some reason. Hilarious!

A little bummed we got the Leia/Vader cover instead of that sweet pilots/Vader montage cover art. Oh well. Maybe it's for an upcoming issue and things got swapped around.

-Loved Chewie's solution to their TIE problem.
-Probably the most badass moment Mon Mothma has ever had- easily her best line of dialogue.
-Still trying to adjust to Threepio's Iron Man styling. Still, nice to have him active in the plotline in a useful role.
-The pointy stylization to fighter craft is kinda neat though- particularly with the squint deployment shot.
-Someone else heard Ben (as did Luke, which sets the issue at least after the first Rebel Force novel)
-Even at 6 month ABY, expecting the DS2 to be finished soon seems unrealistic even for Vader. You mean to tell me he can't tell that there's still 3.6 years of construction left to be done?
-The refocus on "his name is Skywalker" leans this thing back to the 2 month ANY range, but thats nothing definite.

Man, we'll get spinoff movies set in Dark Times for sure and you people still worry about timeline stuff? It's going to be flushed down the toiled anyway.

Well, then you better get this marvel of technology ready to use, because this will get dirty fast.

The Death Plunger remains under construction! I'm told it'll be ready any day now, but they've been saying that for the last 20 years....

Pevra- so just because there might be unavoidable timeline issues in the future is an excuse to ignore avoidable timeline problems in the present?

    Brothers and Sisters- to arms!

That was easily the highlight of the issue for me. I loved the panel of him poking his head out of the Falcon. XD

Wait, wait, wait, they've invented windows in the GFFA?!

Those spacemen must be really coming along technologically now.
