    From that link:

Seriously? How dumb is this? It's not new cover art, it's the old cover art with a new banner across the top and that's all! People are going to fall for this?

    Old cover art was better.

If I had a nickel for every novel that made my grumpy for being "heartlessly torn from the pages of Star Wars history," I'd be richer than a Neimoidian. The Thrawn trilogy and duology, the X-wing series and the New Jedi Order, for starters. Probably along with the Han Solo Trilogy, because I seriously doubt if the pre-OT era will remain unaffected.

Yes, we're losing LOTF and FOTJ... No, it's not a fair trade.

I'll just get the more recent hardback novels (Maul Lockdown, Razor's Edge, Honor Among Thieves, Kenobi. Crucible etc) when they turn into paperback novels and if they have Legends on them so be it.

Then perhaps you can tell him yourself when he arrives.
    The Cooper's coming here?
That is correct, Commander, and he is most displeased with your apparent lack of progress.
    We shall double our efforts.
I hope so, Commander, for your sake. The Cooper is not as forgiving as I am.

My initial reaction: A book by JJM about Rebels with direct input from Kinberg, Filoni and Weisman? All about Kanan and Hera in the years leading up to the events of the show?

Being one of the foremost Rebels apologists/shills on this forum, I'll be sure to get back to you all on how good it is. :p Cooper, if you need someone to review it, I'm your man.

I think the Legends banner works perfectly. It pretty much tells you what you need to know.

On that note, I have to comment that the Empire's anti-female and anti-alien policies are no longer a thing.

Where was this cover image with "Legends" Lando adventures sourced from? I've only seen it on Roqoodepot's site but couldn't find it on any official Lucasfilm or Del Rey sites. The only "Legends" cover I've seen on an official website is the "Heir to the Empire" on the main star wars page. This Lando cover is official, and not a fan-photoshop job?

And we already have evidence contradicting any future attempts at re-implementation!

At least a few of the ones out there are from edelweiss. Not totally sure about the Lando one.

Ok, thanks. I found the "Razor's Edge" and "Kenobi" Legends covers on edelweiss; apparently the mass market paperback format for these novels isn't out until later this year, and will presumably be branded with the 'Legends' banner when they arrive. That must be where these covers came from.

For a moment I was thinking maybe only post-ROTJ fiction would bother on reprints with the 'Legends' logo--but it seems all pre-2014 prose fiction is 'Legends'.

Given that Luceno wrote Dark Lord - in which Tarkin starts enslaving the Wookiees, I could see the theme being carried on in the new Tarkin novel.

You're one of those people who doesn't ever take the time to read the fine print, aren't you? o_O

Or, y'know, haven't noticed that Del Rey SW books recently changed their logo to a house. :p

The only thing Lucas can claim ownership of now is an overinflated bank account.
