Oh nice! There hasn't been a SW comic for FCBD in five years. Figures it's IDW to jump back on that train and not Marvel, lol.

Oh, I’m Marveling, all right! (And I hope you are well, Barriss; it’s been a long time. :) ) I’m stoked to see these two will be part of these comics, though I do hope that the Legends lore about them is respected, especially in terms of the third-person speech pattern and the self-reference customs. Just my hobby horse, y’know. :D

Why is Ezra always drawn with blue hair when he canonically has black/dark brown hair? Baseline humans do not have natural blue hair.

"In cartoons and comics, giving a character a blue/black sheen is a visual conceit that implies very dark black hair. If we actually used solid black, you'd get no light or shadow. No sense of density. Just the absence of color. The blue allows more play. I'm so immersed in the conceit, I don't even see it. At any rate, I'm quite sure that she's not the only character we did that with." - Greg Weisman on Elisa Maza's hair in Gargoyles

And the similar practice of streaking black hair with blue has been a thing in Star Wars since the old Marvel comics. Silas Tagge's hair would look like a large flat sea of ink on the page if all of its length was colored a solid black:

Though it was colored a nearly-full-on blue sometimes, too:

    As was Ulric Tagge's hair.

Heck, even my avatar: Orman Tagge's hair also sometimes had blue detailing applied, or a blue sheen on top.

....all these years I thought Silas's hair was blue.

I love to pretend it is. Either naturally because it's Star Wars and why not and there are weirder things and it looks cool and something something exposure to mad science experiments and and and etc. etc. -- or because it's a fly dye job. Let the man have fun with what hair he has. So yeah, let's both keep seeing it that way! :p

Huh. Never realised that about the Rugrats/AGU characters. I always thought it was an offshoot of the Doug phenomenon of people having weird-colored hair because reasons. Makes sense though.

this is going to be one of the last times we're gonna see Hondo for awhile, isn't it? Like it's POSSIBLE he could show up in the last few eps of Rebels but I think it's unlikely the way the story is headed.

Zuckuss was 3rd person speak-ing when they were on Lego Star Wars so I would think that's a character trait that LFL would point out.

Will the Free Comic Book Day issue be a preview of the series, or a prologue? I work Saturdays this year again and will be disappointed if I cannot get it due to that...

The new EU is basically taking the quintessential most beloved elements of the old EU and allowing us to enjoy them once more:

    1) Thrawn all day every day
    2) Jaxxon comics by Marvel once again.
    3) A sourcebook full of starship length errors.

I'm surprised IDW beat Marvel to the punch to get Jaxxon out there (even though he was on an alternate cover for Star Wars #1) but I ain't complaining that much.
