ST Star Wars and 2015 SDCC

What I said a while back. Just think about MSW's plot and try to imagine cutting just a two minute segment out of it that does not give anything away about the plot.

 

Comic Con trailers and sizzle reels are usually Comic Con exclusives. They very rarely get released publicly in an official capacity. Panels also aren't broadcast live for the same reason. When bootlegs appear online and studios start to take them down, people tend to think that's stupid because it's free publicity but it may be the case that the studios have a deal with SDCC to keep such material exclusive to the event, at least on a timed basis. So while I hope we see whatever is shown, I won't be expecting to see it.

 

I think that policy won't be adhered to for the Star Wars Hall H panel. Just a hunch.

At worst, I think a shorter version of what is showed in Hall H will be released to the public.

 

There is no way they will show a scene. I seriously doubt we will ever get Jurassic World style scenes before the movie releases. I hope the trailer is as unspoilery and ambiguous as the teasers.

 

If they show an actual scene from TFA, it'll be Rey in the desert searching the Star Destroyer or Rey at the salvage station selling parts and encountering the bullies.

 

I'd love to see even a small part of the scene with Rey scavenging the SD. Likely to be no dialogue in it, as she is alone, so there's nothing too spoilery to worry about.

 

Panels aren't broadcast live because Hall H doesn't have the internet connection and bandwidth necessary for live streams. If it did, companies would broadcast the panels...just not the exclusive footage. A lot of Hall H panels are officially filmed and included as bonus features on DVDs/Blu-Rays (without the footage). Once San Diego gets around to expanding and upgrading the convention center to the 21st century there may be a good internet connection in Hall H to allow live panel streams.

Not the whole line but we'll definitely see the Kylo, Rey, Finn, BB-8, and Chewie figures since those prototypes leaked already.

 

i hope we see a little more than 4 figures...

 

I have to admit that I'm more excited about Sideshow and Hot Toys figures.

 

They'll show the main figures (Kylo, Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Han, Chewie, maybe Phasma). And some vehicles like Rey's speeder, Kylo's lander, and the new X-Wing

 

Ah finally... I'll probably make a decision on what to get this September... if anything.

 

i want to see the lightsabers, 12" figures, basically i want to see everything!

 

I'm so pumped for some official VII news and hopefully a new trailer.

I'd like Hasbro to show off some of the new vehicle concepts that MakingStarWars has written on.

 

Hell, I'd like the trailer to show off those new vehicle designs. Maybe it'll put a lid on the "This is just a rehash of the original trilogy" complaint that gets tossed around every now and then.

 

I want the same, but at least a pic of Luke.

Well, since we are all just throwing out some wishes and getting greedy...

I wish I could see all the panels in Room 7A/B all morning then at about 4:45PM, just walk over and take a seat for the Hall H panel.

Ok, while I am at it, going to buy a lotto ticket too.

 

so does anybody think they'll announce something anything pre SDCC or will everything be for Friday?

 

I think Star Wars trailers will be immune to the exclusivity. Keeping it exclusive won't suit anyone at all
