The Jade Shadow floated silently in space. She was graceful and sleek, befitting her name perfectly. Once the prized possession of the now deceased Jedi Master Mara Jade Skywalker, the ship was currently out of necessity the temporary full time residence of Luke and Ben Skywalker. Having plead guilty to criminal charges brought against him by Chief of State Natasi Daala, the Grand Master was sentenced to ten years of exile. Almost three years had past, most of it spent traveling across the Galaxy gathering information on his nephew, Jacen Solo?s past in an attempt to pinpoint what had gone wrong with him and to solve a growing Sith threat and if that was not enough to help fix the growing crisis of Jedi going insane. All that could be said about the outcome was that things were at an unsteady truce situation with the Sith, the Jedi were back to a chaotic normal, and little information had been gathered in order to prove Luke?s innocence. Things seemed to be in a state of a tenuous equilibrium. After all the continued stress both physically and emotionally the Grand Master was at the lowest point he had ever been in his life. People who knew him barely recognized him he was so haggard and thin. It was definitely time for a break.

The city planet of Coruscant could be seen a short distance away. The planet had once again become the hub of the galaxy with the headquarters of the Galactic Alliance government and the military. Luke Skywalker sat in the cockpit staring contemplatively out of the main view port. Little specks jutted quickly to and from the planet below indicating a large amount of traffic. Ships of all kinds in constant vigorous flow. Beings going about their lives free to come and go. ?Home?, Luke thought. Or at least it had been for most of his adult life. Now, forbidden. His mind automatically brought to the fore memories of his life with Mara and Ben. Both the happiness and hardships experienced there. His heart ached for his family, friends and for his beloved Jedi order which was quickly getting to a state of disorganization which fit into Daala?s plans to continue putting the Jedi in a negative view to the public. Anti Jedi sentiment had been growing for years now ever since Darth Caedus? failed dictatorship five years ago. All this separation was due to a clause in his sentence agreement stating that he had to stay a specified distance from any planet which had Jedi Temples, training facilities or schools. He frowned. ?Luke Skywalker Jedi Grand Master - Savior of the galaxy more than once. Now convicted felon and in exile.?

?Aren?t you bringing us in a little too close Dad?? a voice from behind him brought Luke back to the present and more positive thoughts. He turned in the chair to acknowledge his son Jedi Knight Ben Skywalker, standing in the doorway.

Ben Skywalker had become the youngest Jedi Knight at the age of only 14. Now 19, he was tall and lean. He had thick, dark auburn hair like his mother Mara and his eyes were blue, and just as kind, bright and expressive as his father?s. He was a definitively strong presence in any room he entered.

Ben came forward and sat in the co-pilots seat next to
