Firk-ding-blast! I went to get tickets on Sunday and they were sold out. I knew as soon as I saw it in the AZ Republic on Friday that I was doomed. But now I find out that I missed PFFers offering to sell their extra tickets. Dang it, and I got the day off of work, too. Too bad the eBay auction is for two tickets. It's nigh imossible to have someone go in with you for halvsies on an auction.

 

Yep, it sucks. I bet it would have sold out even if they had not advertised it.

 

sorry kevin, i tried to get something for the 501st, but i guess security is really tight now...

 

The ebay tickets are now at $26. In case anyone was wondering. Of, course wait for the last hour to see how high it gets.

 

Am I missing some details here, or did the effort consist of simply calling someone and asking for a room at the new theatre? Was anything offered to Harkins for our involvement?

I found the old flyers on my computer and will try to get them copied off, even if in small numbers for interested parties. Maybe not enough to hand out in bulk, but some nonetheless.

I also still have a small stack of the old flyers that I'll bring to the Cine Capri.

Mr. Wench, Miss Makay and I will be at the Cine Capri for ANH at around 3-4 p.m. to hang out in line with you all.

One question though...can someone give me directions to the Cine Capri?

Would be most helpful if I knew how to get there.

Personally, I'm well versed in parking lot changing, so not having a room to do it in is no skin off my neck. Trooper vets are WAY used to that, trust me.

As far as I know, Jody has dropped off the face of the planet, so the 501st contact for this event is pretty much non-existant.

This changes nothing though as far as the 501st's involvment in this event.

From what I can gather, there will be a good number of us on hand, in full gear to help celebrate the opening, as well as offer our services to Dan Harkens should he want us for anything "special".

Vader will be there.
Maul will be there.
Royal Guards.
Sand People.
Tie Pilots.
Gunners.
Biker Scouts.
Bounty Hunters.
Stormtroopers.
And of copurse, Sandtroopers.

Now if I can just convince Gabby that this event is a LEIA event!

I haven't been able to orginize this in any way, shape or form, due to a massive commitment to a project that will be unvieled at San Diego ComicCon this year, as well as another big project to be unvieled at Anime Expo.

All that being said, have no fear. The Empire will be present.
