Haven't preordered yet but probably will once the beta approaches.

I'm getting to an age now (not even that old...27) where unlocks and the like just don't interest me. Give me all the weapons, gadgets etc upfront so I can play the way I want to play instead of being funneled into modes and weapons I don't want to play to unlock ones I do.

 

I don't mind progression based unlocks as you level up. That at least allows you to play in any way you choose to earn xp and subsequently unlock items. But when Hutt contracts specify specific modes, weapons, and especially actions (which are many times scenario or hero dependent) the game gets exhausting and lacks the fun factor.

 

If it's a choice of paying for the more powerful weapons or earning them, I'll always choose to earn them. I don't mind the grind at all; a little off topic but that's how I am with GTA V. I know there are people who buy the Shark Cards to just so they could immediately afford the best vehicles, weapons, and apartments in the game without any effort. I haven't paid a real world penny, and I've still invested at least $1.5 million in-game currency that I've earned through heists and Challenges.

 

$1.5m? That won't even get you a Progen T20.

 

i end up doing pre orders only if there are things in it that i want like i pre ordered for the batmobile from the last arkham game but downgraded once they didn't offer that statue

This mod looks really cool. I haven't seen a lot of these characters in Battlefront before. I might try it out.


I sure hope they have Navy Trooper and Army Trooper costumes in BF2---and for cheap! There is no reason a Navy Trooper costume should be so hard to unlock.

 

So will we be seeing some Gameplay at E3 next month??

 

Not technically, but gameplay should debut at EAPlay a separate event, held at the same time and place but special because....EA?

I'm not sure. That looks pretty legit. I hope it will look like that. The TX-130 Tanks would be awesome!

 

I remember those PT tanks from the original game. Could be fun to use in the new game.

 

Having one person control the movement/main guns while the copilot gets the rotating turret would be so much fun.

I don't like having vehicles appearing out of thin air. Something TFU has is drop pods. Basically a large drop pod falls out of the sky and an AT-ST emerges. I think it would make for a very fun way to introduce vehicles into the match.

I love the way Halo uses vehicles on its larger maps. They all spawn at the beginning of the match, and it's a mad rush to see who can get to them first. Then once one is destroyed, it will respawn after a certain amount of time.

If the vehicles in BF2 behave like that, and are more vulnerable to infantry weapons (unlike the AT-STs in BF1), then matches will be a lot more fun.

 

Multi-crew vehicles really would be great, and might be a way of promoting teamwork while also weakening vehicles if only one player is using them, eg an AT-ST requires both a driver and a gunner.

 

If I'm not mistaken, that's how vehicles were used in the original PS2 games.

And the AT-STs were vulnerable to certain infantry weapons. Ion weapons in particular are great against them.

 

Might be legit, but imo looks like it could of been easily faked..

 

It's fake. The clone and droid are just PNG's based off promo images from ROTS and TPM.

 

Even if it was somehow real, that map looks like utter garbage. No cover for miles.

 

Worse than Jakku..
