Gaming Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) & Battlefront 2 (2017) [Mod Approved]

I was just wondering, how do the AT-ATs work in BF2? Are they on a track like they were in BF 2015?

 

Yeah, they and the MTTs march along a set path. The attackers have to escort them to the enemy base. You can’t really have them be free-roaming in that sort of game mode because many players wouldn’t march them forward at a reasonable pace. AT-ATs are on Hoth and Endor, MTTs are on Naboo and Kashyyyk.

 

Believe it or not, they were free-roaming in the original BF games from the early 2000s.

 

That's true, but Walker Assault and indeed Galactic Assault require a different set-up for that than conquest. If someone took control of an AT-AT and thoguht 'screw the objective', stood still, and tried blasting as many Rebels as possible, that gives said rebels a massive amount of opportunity to just blast rockets at the thing to their hearts content because at no point has it moved an inch. And if no-one was controlling it, it still wouldn't be moving anyway.
If a mode like conquest was to make it into Battlefront 2, I could see them unlocking the restrictions placed on the assault vehicles.

 

Got EA's Battlefront 2. Looks like fun so far!

 

I’m not really feeling this game. I think the 2015 game handled the multiplayer much better. I also want all of the full maps in arcade mode, so I can at least enjoy some rounds by myself.

 

Yeah, that's what I mean, they're in every single match of Heroes vs Villains that I play.

So 2nd game I play of HVSV and another credit farmer on my team. I quit the game, I ain't doing that ****!

I think it was in the original Battlefront.

 

It's what the Clones said in the original games when they encountered Super Battle Droids. Nice to know they brought it back.

So bored of the existing maps already. Why does it feel like less maps when it's supposedly more by their count? Maybe because many small maps are just chunks of the Galactic Assault maps?

 

Been playing for a big chunk of time this weekend, and I'm certainly getting the hang of the basic classes now. Still not the greatest with ship combat, though I haven't really used them. With The Last Jedi stuff releasing tomorrow, I'll probably get the rest of the campaign finished before hitting up arcade to try out the new heroes.

 

I know I should be excited for TLJ content tomorrow, but i'm just not.

 

Likely because this game feels more like work than fun.

The fact is that it was made to literally funnel people toward microtransactions by making progression slow and tedious.
