What a great character: I can't wait to learn more about his backstory!

 

This is making me more and more hyped for Nest. I fully suspect she is going to be almost a Saw esq character

 

"Star Wars: Beckett" is such an unlikely name for a Star Wars comic book project. It reminds me of one of those CBS sitcoms that no one ever watches but somehow lasts eight seasons. It will be great fun, of course, and it fits Marvel's pattern of naming books after their protagonists. It just struck me as funny.

 

You mean like Cheers?

They should have Beckett walk into a bar where everyone knows his name.

 

Release date?

 

August 15th, according to Marvel's August solicitations.

Laming? Recognise that name, oh yeah - King's Watch.

This was a great little mini series he did with Jeff Parker that sparked Dynamite's Flash Gordon revival.

 

That art looks pretty good. I wonder if this would be better to read before or after my first viewing of Solo. I wasn't hyped enough for it to see it in theaters, especially when I was just there a few weeks before for Infinity War, but I plan to get the Bluray. I think if I could have read the first 25 issues of Poe Dameron before watching TFA, it would have made quite a bit more sense. I wonder if this case will be similar?

 

Well I don't know if this comic will blow a reveal about Enfys Nest, somehow I'm guessing it won't though.

 

One shot? Thats all Han needed on Beckett...

Aw man you should have! So much awesome. It was a really fun film.

 

Definitely see the movie in theaters while you can, it's really good!

 

Great ship design in the first panel. Very old-school EU look to it.

 

Preview is up.

 

Solo is a phenomenal movie. You won’t regret seeing it.

 

The preview got me intrigued. At least it looks fantastic.

Yes the preview was great. Rio and Beckett’s Sith Lord farce was genius and I don’t believe we’ve ever seen that trick. The art is spectacular.

 

Looks good, shame it’s not a mini series. Or perhaps they will do more one shots, one for Rio and one for Val. Then they could be collected together. As it looks now, I’m assuming they will add this to the Solo adaptation TPB.

 

I don't follow Marvel Star Wars, but I think I'll probably catch this one. I liked Solo and Beckett was pretty cool.
