I know it's a long way ahead, but the link below is for very cheap accomm in Piccadilly Circus:

    http://piccadillybackpackers.com/index.html

I was there a couple of weeks ago and it's cheap (£30 for Fri & Sat) clean and safe. It's got all the basics and it's good value. Might try the Japanese pod-style dorms next time!

Think I am going for Premier Travel Inn again, it's 15 mins walk from the Earls Court entrance, and 5mins from Earls Court subway :) Let's see nearer the time.

Yeah, that's the one :) - I was on £255 for three nights during LFCC so £85 per night. Expensive I know, but its the same for one or two people in the room, and room and facilities were fine.

I have some friends who live in Clapham which is a very quick train ride to the West Brompton station (directly outside the Earls Court entrance) so I may try them again - very successful for the LFCC.

Dave, this is the BE ALL and END all of SW meets, nothing this big has happened in Europe, so you may want to be there. It may be our only chance at something like this.

Well if I can't save up enough in a year there's something wrong, but just in case I've done the research on a chunky re-mortgage :p Either that, or I can get a fair amount for a kidney.

As we get nearer, we'll work accomodation out tbh. May involve people room sharing and sharing the costs. Travel - well that will be train, earlier you book, better it is, but we are talking booking next year - maybe Jan or Feb because the event is July. That should give you the best discount.
